  • SEA Linebacker #50
Bears traded up with the Vikings to select Tulsa DE Trevis Gipson with the No. 155 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
A high school basketball star, Gipson (6'3/261) was lightly recruited out of Texas before a slow-developing college career that saw him break out for eight sacks as a senior. Gipson plays long but with power. Nevertheless, The Athletic’s Dane Brugler highlights balance issues due to a high center of gravity as a potential pro concern, calling Gipson “fundamentally raw.” That is not surprising for an ex-basketball player, though Gipson is also on the old side for a prospect (23 in June). 2020 could be his one shot to prove his project worthiness to the Bears.

  • MIA Linebacker #15
Dolphins EDGE Jaelan Phillips (knee) left Monday night’s game against the Titans and will not return.
Phillips originally tweaked the knee earlier in the game, but appeared to re-aggravate it in a non-contact situation in the third quarter. The Dolphins could scarcely afford to lose one of their best defensive linemen, but here we are. The quick rule-out is ominous for Phillips’ rest-of-season outlook.
  • MIA Safety #21
Jordan Poyer (shin) left Miami’s Week 4 game against the Titans and is questionable to return.
Poyer did not have a recorded tackle before leaving. The 33-year-old safety had 19 tackles in his first three starts with the Dolphins. Miami will use more Marcus Maye with Poyer out.
  • TEN Quarterback #8
Will Levis (shoulder) left Tennessee’s Week 4 game against the Dolphins and is questionable to return.
He hurt his throwing shoulder while diving for a first down, winced while trying to make some throws on the sideline, and then headed to the blue medical tent. Mason Rudolph replaced him. Levis was 3-of-4 for 25 yards and an interception before leaving. Brian Callahan said that Levis would return if he was “physically able to” at halftime, but Rudolph continued running the offense in the second half. It has the feel of a benching as Levis stood on the sideline for the rest of the game with his helmet on.
  • MIA Running Back #23
Dolphins RB Jeff Wilson suffered a knee injury in pregame warmups and is questionable for Week 4 against the Titans.
That potentially leaves the team with just two healthy backs, De’Von Achane and rookie Jaylen Wright. Expect Achane to be busy while Wright could soak up additional opportunities.
  • SEA Linebacker #53
Seahawks declared LB Uchenna Nwosu, LB Jerome Baker, LB Boye Mafe, G Sataoa Laumea, T Michael Jerrell, DT Byron Murphy, and DE Leonard Williams inactive for Week 4 against the Lions.
The linebacker and defensive line injuries are mounting for the Seahawks, not exactly what you want to see with a game against the elite offensive line of the Lions on tap. The absences mark five typical starters in the front seven now out for Week 4.
  • DET Center #77
Lions declared C Frank Ragnow, DB Brian Branch, OL Giovanni Manu, and WR Isaiah Williams inactive for Week 4 against the Seahawks.
Ragnow continues to be one of the better centers in the league, making his absence due to a pectoral injury notable as the Lions prepare to face the Seahawks. Seattle could force more pressure in the backfield on pass plays due to Ragnow’s absence.
  • TEN Defensive Tackle #98
Titans declared DB Julius Wood, LB James Williams, OT Jaelyn Duncan, TE David Martin-Robinson, TE Thomas Odukoya, DL Jeffery Simmons, and LB Ali Gaye inactive for Week 4 against the Dolphins.
The 2019 first-round pick failed to practice at any point this week in preparation for the team’s Week 4 Monday Night Football game and was ultimately held out with the release of inactives. The Titans, for the most part, remain relatively healthy heading into their clash with the Dolphins.
  • MIA Running Back #31
Dolphins declared RB Raheem Mostert, QB Skylar Thopmson, CB Kendall Fuller, LB Mohamed Kamara, and LT Terron Armstead inactive for Week 4 against the Titan.s
It was reported earlier that Mostert was not expected to play in this game despite his best efforts to get on the field. The veteran running back will now eye a Week 5 return, but we can expect another busy day for De’Von Achane against the Titans.
  • LAR Wide Receiver #10
Rams HC Sean McVay said Cooper Kupp (ankle) won’t play in Week 5 against the Packers.
It appears increasingly likely that Week 7 is the targeted return date for Kupp. The Rams didn’t place Kupp on injured reserve, but he has spent a full four weeks away from football after missing Week 5 and with the team’s bye on tap for Week 6. Of course, this is all speculation, but if the Rams weren’t confident in Kupp returning in less than four games, they would have placed him on injured reserve. There’s clearly some hope he’ll be back after the bye. For now, it will be the likes of Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, and Demarcus Robinson leading the Rams’ passing game against the Packers.
  • IND Quarterback #5
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports Anthony Richardson is considered day-to-day with oblique and abdominal strains.
Richardson “has a shot to play” in Week 5 against the Jaguars, per Pelissero. It’s good news for the Colts’ QB1, who attempted to play through the injury but lasted just one play — which came on a questionable read option that Richardson kept and gave himself up on rather quickly. The Colts release their first injury report on Wednesday. Richardson’s status will be one to monitor throughout the week, but if he can’t go, it will be Joe Flacco making his first start of 2024.
