Efficient in his movements, the former four-star recruit is still laden with off-field red flags including multiple failed drug tests and a history of unreliable behavior, which led to his six-game suspension for violating a number of team rules during the Tigers’ National Championship run. An anonymous scout was quoted as saying,"I wish you could trust him, but you can’t.” That alone could land Charles as a Day 3 selection.

The 28-year-old is coming off his best season of his career with 50 catches for 548 yards and three touchdowns. He’ll be a safety valve for Derek Carr — or whomever ends up at quarterback for the Saints — and be a solid, if unspectacular, tight end option for the 2025 campaign.
