Allen was seen lining up on out wide as the Chargers’ Z-receiver on Thursday, Ladd McConkey lined up in the slot. Popper currently expects this to remain the case come regular season play. This is big news for both players. Allen is no longer a weekly must-start in fantasy football, and losing regular access to the quick-hitting layup targets from the slot further reduces his scoring potential.

McConkey dealt with knee and hip injuries last season. No word on if the current issue is related but his apparent return to practice is a great sign. Popper also said that Keenan Allen has been lining up out wide as the team’s Z-receiver in practice, allowing McConkey to stay in his slot-heavy role. He’s a fantasy football WR1.

Brown said he continued undergoing the medical procedure on a weekly basis through Super Bowl LIX. The 28-year-old star has been dealing with knee issues for quite some time. In January 2021, he underwent cleanup procedures in both knees. The issues have not stopped him from rattling off three straight 1,000-yard seasons. Brown remains a fantasy football WR1 entering year seven.

Jones suffered a neck injury on July 28th, and was expected to rehab the issue for two-to-three months. His placement on the injured reserve list rules him out for the 2025 season. Jones is a backup, but the Cowboys’ offensive line health is already in a bad place. They will likely work out a few offensive linemen next week. The team correspondingly signed RB Malik Davis.
