ESPN’s Rich Cimini reports the Jets will meet with ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay about a front office position this week.
New GM Joe Douglas will also meet with former Browns GM Phil Savage, who more recently served as the executive director for the Senior Bowl before joining the AAF’s Arizona Hotshots. McShay does not have any front office experience, but he played with Douglas at the University of Richmond in the mid-90s and clearly has a relationship with the new GM.

Darius Slayton (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
Per head coach Brian Daboll, Slayton has not made as much progress through the league’s concussion protocols as Tyrone Tracy had at this point last week. Tracy managed to clear the protocols and suit up on Sunday. It sounds like Slayton is at a high risk of missing Week 10 versus the Panthers. Jalin Hyatt will take his spot in the lineup if can’t suit up, though fantasy managers shouldn’t be eager to add the wind sprinter. Hyatt has one catch for six yards this year.
  • DAL EDGE #11
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said EDGE Micah Parsons (ankle) is expected to practice on a rep count Wednesday.
Parsons did not practice at all last week before being ruled out, so this is a major step in the right direction. He has missed four games while nursing the ankle injury he suffered in Week 4. His return will be a boon for the Dallas defense but appears to be too little too late for the team as a whole. With Dak Prescott on injured reserve, Dallas’s season is on life support heading into Week 10 versus the Eagles.
  • DAL Wide Receiver #88
CeeDee Lamb (shoulder) is expected to be limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Per head coach Mike McCarthy, Micah Parsons is expected to practice on a rep count and Lamb is in a “similar situation.” It’s a good sign for Lamb, who was initially considered to be “week-to-week” with a shoulder injury. Subsequent reports have been more optimistic about his odds of suiting up on Sunday. Even if healthy, Lamb’s fantasy outlook took a hit in Week 9 when the Cowboys lost Dak Prescott to a hamstring injury. Still dominating the targets for a now Cooper Rush-led offense, Lamb will cling to WR1 value versus a middling Philly defense this week.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #0
Bills head coach Sean McDermott said WR Keon Coleman (wrist) could miss multiple weeks.
Though the rookie has not been ruled out of Week 10’s game against the Colts, McDermott said the wrist issue could be a multi-week absence for Coleman, who has emerged as the team’s clear WR1 over the past few weeks. A Coleman absence would conceivably open up for targets for Amari Cooper and Khalil Shakir. The Bills could always revert to the run-heavy ways of earlier in the season with Coleman sidelined.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #14
Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Malachi Corley and Xavier Gipson could see more involvement in the team’s offense.
This comes a day after the Jets traded Mike Williams to the Steelers after Williams ran a wrong route a few weeks ago in a loss to the Bills. Corley had an 18-yard rush last week against the Texans, and has just one catch on the season. The 65th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Corley could mix in with the New York offense as a slot option but won’t be fantasy relevant. Gipson, a kick returner who has four catches on seven targets this season, could also see an uptick in playing time.
  • JAX Quarterback #16
Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Lawrence banged up his shoulder in last week’s loss to the Eagles and could be limited in practice throughout the week ahead of Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Mac Jones would get the start if Lawrence is unable to play through the injury.
  • CLE Quarterback #4
Browns general manager Andrew Berry said it’s “a possibility” Deshaun Watson (Achilles) will play again for the Browns.
Watson is out for the season with a torn Achilles and is due $46 million in each of the next two years. The Browns might figure a way to move on from Watson, 29, this offseason, and if he stays put, he likely won’t be ready for game action until the middle of the 2025 season. Watson’s return to Cleveland remains a long shot.
  • JAX Quarterback #14
Jaguars signed QB C.J. Beathard from the Dolphins practice squad.
Beathard will rejoin the Jaguars after spending the past two seasons in Jacksonville as Trevor Lawrence’s backup. Last year, Beathard threw for 349 yards and a touchdown in seven appearances for the Jaguars.
  • CIN Tackle #75
Bengals LT Orlando Brown Jr. (knee/fibula) was limited in Tuesday’s practice.
Brown started listed DNP on Monday, but returned to practice in a limited capacity Tuesday. He missed Week 9 against the Raiders after exiting Week 8 due to a knee injury. Cody Ford started for him in his absence, but Brown’s limited practice indicates he is trending to play Thursday against the Ravens. Wednesday’s status update will provide further clarity on Brown’s chances of playing.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #15
Bengals WR Charlie Jones (groin) did not participate in Tuesday’s practice.
Jones suffered a groin injury in practice last week and missed Week 9 against the Raiders. He has primarily been a reserve and kick return specialist this season, catching one pass for five yards and returning 14 punts and five kicks this season, including a 100-yard kick return touchdown in Week 8. Trenton Irwin will fill in Jones’ role if he misses Thursday against the Ravens.
