Draft Analyst’s Tony Pauline has the Jets selecting Kentucky EDGE Josh Allen in his final mock draft.
With Kyler Murray and Nick Bosa projected by many to be the first two picks in Thursday’s opening round, things are unlikely to get interesting until the Jets are on the clock. Others have pegged either Alabama’s Quinnen Williams or Houston’s Ed Oliver to be the choice if the Jets keep their pick, but not Pauline. “Quinnen Williams is the better pick, but the Jets desperately need an edge rusher. They also desperately want to trade out of this slot and collect extra picks, which is what I think will happen here,” Pauline wrote in his analysis. Whether the Jets find a trade partner or choose to add to the defense, their time on the clock won’t lack for interest.
