  • FA Quarterback #6

The Redskins benched Mark Sanchez for Josh Johnson in the third quarter of Sunday’s Week 14 game against the Giants.
Sanchez was predictably dreadful, completing 6-of-14 throws for 38 yards and two interceptions, including a pick six. The Redskins trailed the Giants 40-0 when Sanchez was mercifully sat down. Multiple reports have indicated Skins GM Bruce Allen refuses to consider Colin Kaepernick due to Allen’s political beliefs. Alex Smith and Colt McCoy are both out for the year.
  • GB Wide Receiver #9

Christian Watson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Watson continues to rehabilitate his medial ankle sprain, delivering volatile results along the way. Watson is a touchdown-dependent flex option, operating as a part-time player in the Packers’ high-end passing offense.
  • GB Wide Receiver #11
Jayden Reed (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Reed is coming off his worst performance of the season after practicing in a limited capacity throughout the week. Hopefully, the talented, young player can resume practicing in full soon enough, signaling good health. The Packers have a fantasy-friendly matchup against the Jaguars in Week 8.
  • SEA Tackle #78
Seahawks placed OT Stone Forsythe (hand) on injured reserve.
Forsythe will miss at least four games, five if you include his absence from Week 7. Seattle claimed linebacker Josh Ross off waivers from the Ravens in a corresponding move. Ross appeared in seven games with the Ravens this year and played exclusively on special teams.
  • JAX Running Back #1
Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Etienne was limited in all three practices last week but ultimately ruled inactive. He has a much better chance of suiting up this week, given his continued practice participation. It remains to be seen what type of workload awaits him, given Tank Bigsby’s strong showings.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #0
Gabe Davis (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
This is business as usual for Davis as he manages the same knee injury he dealt with last week. Davis is an unreliable, matchup-based flex option who only needs to be rostered in specific situations. Fantasy managers can expect him to play in Week 8 and beyond with the knee injury unless the team states otherwise.
  • DAL Kicker #17
Cowboys K Brandon Aubrey (jury duty) did not practice Wednesday.
It’s both incredible that Aubrey is missing practice for this reason and shocking that this isn’t more common. Aubrey’s status for Week 8 is unclear as he tends to his civic duties. The Cowboys don’t have another kicker on their roster, meaning they will need to sign a replacement if Aubrey is unable to play on Sunday, though that seems extremely unlikely.
  • KC Running Back #29
Kareem Hunt (hip) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
A limited session to start the week is standard fare for a veteran running back. Hunt was also limited by a shoulder injury heading into Week 5. He ran for 102 yards on 27 carries. The hip injury shouldn’t be an issue for him come game-time. Hunt is pushing for an RB1 ranking after scoring twice in Week 7.
  • NE Wide Receiver #1
Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion) did not practice Wednesday.
This is yet another negative development in Polk’s rookie season. The rookie has finished inside the position’s top 60 in weekly scoring just once this season and only needs to be considered as a stash for winning teams with ample bench space.
  • NE Running Back #38
Rhamondre Stevenson (foot/personal) did not practice Wednesday.
Stevenson practiced in full last Friday before suiting up in Week 7. Today’s absence is likely a non-issue but the team listing him with the foot keeps it as an item to continue monitoring. Fantasy managers should tentatively expect Stevenson to play in Week 8.
  • DET Guard #71
Lions RG Kevin Zeitler (groin) is practicing in full for Week 8 against the Titans.
Zeitler missed Week 7 with the groin but should be good to go after getting in a full practice on Wednesday. The Lions have a relatively clean injury report heading into their date with the Titans.
