Packers traded up with the Colts to select Indiana OT Jason Spriggs with the No. 48 overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft.
The Pack surrendered their fourth- and seventh-round picks to move up nine spots. Spriggs (6'6/301) made 47 starts for the Hoosiers — all at left tackle — and earned second-team All-Big Ten as a senior, permitting just two sacks. Spriggs has long arms (34 1/8") and big hands (10 1/8"), and obliterated the Combine, placing top five among offensive linemen in the forty (4.94), bench (31 reps), broad jump (9'7") and short shuttle (4.44). Spriggs needs technical work on converting his strength into power, but possesses an ideal blend of size, length and movement skills for an NFL tackle.
