  • FA Punter #9
    Bengals waived P Shawn Powell.
Powell bounced between the Bills and Bengals in 2013, averaging 44.8 yards on 42 punts. We suspect the 25-year-old will pass through waivers unclaimed.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #8
Elijah Moore caught his only target for 11 yards in the Browns’ Week 4 loss to the Raiders.
Moore has only topped three catches or 17 yards in one game this year. Jerry Jeudy is playing ahead of him and the Browns’ offense is hardly able to support two fantasy-viable receivers, let alone a third. Moore is a lowly WR6 for his Week 5 game against Washington.
  • NE Running Back #38
Rhamondre Stevenson rushed 13 times for 43 yards and caught 4-of-5 targets for 19 yards in the Patriots’ Week 4 loss to the 49ers.
Stevenson has now fumbled in four straight games but the Patriots cannot afford to bench him, given their thin skill position groups. His inefficient 3.3 yards per carry still bested Antonio Gibson’s 2.0-yard average. Stevenson remains a borderline RB2/3 against the Dolphins in Week 5.
  • KC Running Back #29
Kareem Hunt had 14 rushes for 69 yards in the Chiefs’ Week 4 win against the Chargers, adding two catches for 16 yards.
  • CLE Running Back #34
Jerome Ford rushed 10 times for 58 yards in the Browns’ Week 4 loss to the Raiders, adding seven receptions for 27 yards.
Ford only ceded four attempts to backup D’Onta Foreman and paced the Browns in receptions. With Deshaun Watson struggling to get his deep ball going, the Browns relied heavily on check-downs to Ford to keep the chains moving. That isn’t the sign of a healthy offense, but it is enough to keep Ford afloat as an RB3 in PPR leagues. Ford will look to get into the end zone for the first time since Week 1 in his upcoming matchup with the Commanders.
  • NE Wide Receiver #1
Ja’Lynn Polk caught 3-of-7 targets for 30 yards in the Patriots’ Week 4 loss to the 49ers.
Polk’s development is evident but the Patriots’ passing game is in a bad way. He very nearly secured a fourth-quarter long ball from Jacoby Brissett but it was ultimately ruled incomplete. Replacing Brissett with rookie Drake Maye is not guaranteed to improve results but they have little to lose at this point. Polk is a priority stash entering Week 5 against the Dolphins.
  • NE Wide Receiver #3
DeMario Douglas caught 3-of-3 targets for 13 yards in the Patriots’ Week 4 loss to the 49ers.
Douglas was shown running routes free of coverage more than once but Brissett was simply unable to locate him. Douglas remains a PPR-only, matchup-based flex option. He should at least be able to find his floor against the Dolphins next week.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Robert Saleh told reporters “We’re always going to lean on” Breece Hall but acknowledges the goal-line role “is definitely something to look at.”
Saleh was responding to reporters who asked by Braelon Allen was not used at the goal line early in the game. Saleh noted “it was still kind of early when that play came about,” before seemingly acknowledging that Hall’s early inefficiencies altered the backfield’s second-half deployment. Allen jumped from a 22.5 percent RB snap share in the first half to a 47.4 percent RB snap share in the second half. Allen appears to be successfully forcing a split backfield.
  • LV Quarterback #10
Gardner Minshew completed 14-of-24 passes for 130 yards in the Raiders’ 20-16, Week 4 win over the Browns.
Minshew wasn’t asked to do much in this game. The Browns got out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter but Minshew returned fire with a touchdown scoring drive plus a field in the second quarter. Another 10 points in the third quarter built a lead that proved to be too much for the Browns to overcome despite scooping up a Zamir White fumble for a touchdown in the final frame. Both of Vegas’s touchdowns came on wide receiver rush attempts. They ended the day with 29 rush attempts that came from seven different players and just 24 throws. The game plan was to make sure Minshew didn’t lose them the game and it worked versus a hapless Browns squad. Expect a similar approach for their Week 5 matchup with the Broncos.
  • LAC Wide Receiver #15
Ladd McConkey caught 5-of-7 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers’ Week 4 loss against the Chiefs.
McConkey led the run-heavy Chargers in every receiving category a week after posting 44 yards on three grabs against the Steelers. Playing primarily from the slot, McConkey functioned as Justin Herbert’s go-to guy in critical situations, including a red zone touchdown grab in the first half that put the Chargers on top. McConkey has a tough matchup with the Broncos in Week 5.
  • LV Running Back #22
Alexander Mattison rushed five times for 60 yards in the Raiders’ Week 4 win over the Browns.
Mattison didn’t see the ball much in this game despite the Raiders running the ball 29 times compared to 24 pass attempts. Zamir White soaked up the bulk of the carries, rushing 17 times for 50 yards. The Raiders also had two rushing touchdowns from wide receivers. Mattison made the most of his carries with gains of 18 and 24 yards compared to a long run of 17 for White. Mattison isn’t getting enough work to be a reliable fantasy option but is an anchor on White’s fantasy outlook. He ranks as a touchdown-or-bust RB5 for Vegas’s Week 5 matchup with the Broncos.
