An undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel considered Lewis a candidate for the 53-man roster. Beat writer Tom Silverstein believes he’ll be stashed on the practice squad as long as he clears waivers.

Wentz signed a one-year contract with the Vikings last offseason and wound up throwing for 1,216-6-5 in five games before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery in late October. Wentz reportedly suffered a dislocation that tore his labrum and fractured the socket in his throwing shoulder, but the soon-to-be free agent can sign with any team when the new league year kicks off next week, and new Jets OC Frank Reich could have his eye on Wentz. Reich’s familiarity with Wentz dates back to their days in Philadelphia, and in 2021 Reich and Wentz reunited in Indianapolis, where Wentz went on to have a resurgent season while throwing for 3,563-27-7. The Jets are believed to be interested in adding at least two veteran quarterbacks this season, so even if Wentz is signed, we shouldn’t expect him to be the default QB1 if healthy. The connection here is obvious and Wentz can likely be had on a cheap deal. Assuming he doesn’t have a big market, it wouldn’t be at all surprising if a deal was reached between the two sides at some point this offseason.

Curl first joined the Rams in 2024 and has started all 33 games he has appeared in for them while forcing two interceptions, 14 pass breakups, and three fumbles. He also posted a career high with 122 tackles last season while adding two sacks. The veteran safety is now slated to be under contract with the Rams through 2028, shoring up a secondary for the foreseeable future that recently added Trent McDuffie to the mix. Curl earned a PFF coverage grade of 66.1 last season and did not allow a touchdown on any of the 58 targets that came his way.

The Saints are converting $10.155 million of Kamara’s 2026 base salary into a signing bonus, which will clear just over $8 million in cap space. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero notes that this decision will keep the Saints’ “options open on Kamara’s contract and status moving forward.” Kamara rushed for 131-471-1 in 11 games last season and also caught a career-low 33 passes. Even if he remains with the Saints for next season, it’s safe to assume that he could see a reduced role once Kendre Miller is back or if they make a big splash at RB in free agency or the draft.

Singletary’s job with the Giants is safe, for now. The 28-year-old back has been relegated to backup duty in each of his last two seasons with the Giants, totaling 874 yards and nine touchdowns on 232 carries while appearing in 232 games. The Giants are reportedly going to be big players in the running back market once free agency kicks off next week, and could also eye a high-end rookie in the draft. Any major additions could put Singletary’s spot on the 53-man roster in jeopardy, especially if Cam Skattebo is healthy for the start of next season.

A week after being released by the Commanders, Biadasz now lands with the Chargers, who were desperately hoping to upgrade their offensive line this offseason. The sixth-year vet also had interest from the Bears, but the Chargers clearly offered the more enticing deal to bring in the former Pro Bowler. Biadasz has played in 31 of a possible 34 games since 2024 and earned a PFF grade of 70.7 while playing on 954 snaps last season. He’ll provide an immediate upgrade at center for a Chargers offensive line that was among the league’s worst last season.

Klis adds that the Broncos are not going to trade or release their starting left guard. Powers, 29, missed time on injured reserve due to a torn biceps suffered in early October. Powers is a reliable pass protector and run blocker, but has never been named to a Pro Bowl or All-Pro roster.

Edmunds led the Bears with 113 combined tackles, 85 solo tackles and eight TFLs last season. The 27-year-old run defender should have suitors in free agency. A recent ESPN report indicated that the Titans, Giants and Raiders were “among teams” interested in trading for him. The Bears’ move creates $15 million in cap space.

The two sides did the same thing last March via a $35.6 million deal. Hunter’s new one-year extension includes a $30.7 million signing bonus. Per PFF, Hunter totaled 83 quarterback pressures and 16 sacks last season. Both figures rank in the top five in the NFL.
