  • FA Defensive Back #30

Chris Owens is expected to step in as the Falcons’ nickel corner.
Brent Grimes’ season-ending injury will move Dunta Robinson out to right corner, opposite Asante Samuel. Owens, a fringe player and special teamer during his three-plus years in Atlanta, is going to get attacked in three-wide sets. His first test comes against Peyton Manning and the Broncos this week.
  • NE Running Back #39

KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reports the Texans worked out former Patriots RB JaMycal Hasty.
Hasty just completed his second season with the Patriots after spending time with the Jaguars and 49ers earlier in his four-year career. The 28-year-old has primarily been a depth option in the backfield and special teamer. It is notable the Texans brought in another running back, having signed Nick Chubb with Joe Mixon recovering from an ankle injury. Hasty would need to battle his way through to make any roster, but the Texans working him out indicates Mixon may be further from returning than initially thought.
Aiyuk injury hints at early Jennings, Pearsall use
Lawrence Jackson Jr. explains how Brandon Aiyuk starting the season on the PUP list opens up opportunities for veteran WR Jauan Jennings and former first-round pick Ricky Pearsall to step up early for the 49ers.
  • LV Linebacker #57
Raiders signed LB Germaine Pratt, formerly of the Bengals, to a one-year, $4.25 million contract.
Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Pratt’s deal includes another $500K in incentives. Pratt was expected to be a cap casualty for the Bengals and requested a trade. Nothing materialized and Cincy cut him earlier this week. Pratt started all 17 games for the Bengals last year. He played nearly every snap on defense and led the team with 143 combined tackles. Pratt is a safe bet to start for the Raiders this season.
  • LAC Running Back
Chargers OC Greg Roman said RB Omarion Hampton is “the total package.”
Roman continued to heap praise on the rookie, saying, “You don’t see a lot of guys find a hole like he’s doing right now.” Backed by No. 22 overall draft capital, fantasy managers are rightfully expecting a large workload for Hampton out of the gates. Free agent addition Najee Harris could stand in his way, but it doesn’t sound like Roman is going to simply hand the veteran the starting gig. Hampton could take on a high-end RB2 workload early in the year if he continues to impress during the offseason program.
  • PHI Linebacker
Eagles signed No. 31 overall pick LB Jihaad Campbell to a four-year contract.
Second-round safety Andrew Mukuba is the only unsigned draft pick for Philly. Campbell is currently recovering from surgery related to the torn labrum he suffered in his final collegiate season. The versatile defender has been observing the inside linebackers in Philly’s offseason program, giving us some idea of where he will play to start his career. After trading up one spot to land Campbell in the first round, it’s safe to assume the Eagles will ramp up his workload as soon as he is healthy.
  • SEA Running Back #9
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Kenneth Walker has been limited in practice with an ankle injury.
Macdonald said Walker “should be fine.” The fact that they are letting Walker practice in any capacity suggests the ankle injury isn’t a big deal. The Seahawks have already made their desire to establish the run abundantly clear this offseason and Walker is set to be the biggest beneficiary of that shift. Assuming he’s a full go at the start of training camp, Walker looks like a safe bet as a mid-range RB2 in early fantasy drafts.
  • DAL Cornerback #7
Cowboys CB Trevon Diggs (knee) said his goal is to be back for Week 1.
Diggs suffered a knee injury in Week 15 last year and underwent season-ending surgery, exiting a lost season for Dallas a few weeks early. He underwent a second surgery in the offseason and spent some time away from the team while rehabbing in Miami. He’s now back at minicamp but is still a long way from being game-ready. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said last week that all signs were positive with his recovery but there was “no timeline for the return.” It sounds like Diggs is a true coin flip to be available for Week 1.
  • BUF Linebacker #97
Joey Bosa (calf) told reporters he expects to be full go by training camp.
Bosa told reporters he has been held out of practice as a precaution. He initially went down with the calf issue early in the offseason program and has been out ever since. Bosa has a lengthy injury history, and nothing has changed since he joined the Bills, but the latest issue is seemingly minor. As long as he is back for camp, Bills fans should expect a bounceback of sorts for the veteran EDGE.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Breece Hall said, “I feel like I am a three-down back,” when asked about the Jets having a running back committee.
Hall was understandably blunt with reporters, saying he isn’t obligated anything but is going to prove he’s the best back on the roster every day. The Jets have openly talked about using a committee throughout the offseason. Head coach Aaron Glenn previously told reporters the team had three backs they planned on utilizing “as much as possible.” While Hall is clearly the top option in this backfield, Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis could see more work in a combined bruiser role this year. Hall’s home run potential should keep him in the RB1 mix, but a committee approach would limit his ceiling.
  • WAS Wide Receiver #85
Noah Brown was carted off the field during Wednesday’s practice.
The Athletic’s Ben Standig reports that Brown stayed on the ground for a while after making a catch. He was down “for a few extra beats” before walking to the sideline under his own power. Brown then rode the cart into the building. The fact that Brown was able to get up and walk off the field is a good sign, though you never want to see the cart come out for a player. Fourth-round rookie Jaylin Lane could mix in as the team’s No. 3 receiver if Brown were to miss any time.
  • WAS Tight End #82
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said TE Ben Sinnott has been among the young players who had stood out in offseason practices.
Sinnott heads into his sophomore season after a rookie campaign that saw him play well behind veteran Zach Ertz, who re-signed with Washington in March. Sinnott, a second round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, caught all five of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in 2024; his touchdown came on a fake punt. It would appear Sinnott’s only viable path to real playing time in the Commanders offense would be Ertz missing time.
