The New York Post reports Vikings owner Zygi Wilf aims to undercut the Saints by “putting the hard sell” on Bill Parcells to “run the show” in Minnesota.
Wilf was born in New Jersey, attended New York Law School in Manhattan, and apparently carries a torch for the former Giants and Jets head coach. Wilf is reportedly “seeking an upgrade on” coach Leslie Frazier, and GM Rick Spielman is on board with the Big Tuna. Wilf asked Parcells to “name his price” as football czar as well as head coach, though the 71-year-old future Hall of Famer has reservations that the game has “passed [him] by.” We have to believe the Vikings’ interest in a high-profile coach is (was?) related to the push for a new stadium in Minneapolis. The report stems from Parcells’ side, however, which suggests an attempt at leverage with the Saints.

Browns signed LB Julian Okwara, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.
A former third-round pick of the Lions back in 2020, Okwara spent last season with the Cardinals. Playing in a limited capacity, Okwara totaled 18 tackles, three TFLs, and one sack in 13 games while making one start. Okwara has started only five of the 51 games he’s appeared in for his career and will likely serve as a rotational pass rusher for the Browns this season.
  • FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports North Carolina RB Omarion Hampton is meeting with the Bears.
Considered one of the top backs in this year’s class, Hampton could sneak into the late first round if a team desperate enough for a top back opts to take a shot on the UNC product. Hampton produces a three-down skillset and blew away scouts and coaches with his impressive combine performance as a six-foot, 221-pound back. Last season, Hampton rushed for 281-1,660-15 while adding another 38-373-2 through the air and closed out his career with back-to-back 1,500-yard rushing seasons. According to Schultz, Hampton has also met with the Cowboys and Steelers. He could immediately fill the role as the Bears’ RB1 in Ben Johnson’s offense, which could prove detrimental to D’Andre Swift’s fantasy value in 2025.
  • DAL Linebacker #11
ESPN’s Todd Archer reports Micah Parsons is in attendance at the Cowboys’ voluntary offseason workouts.
It’s a sign of good faith by Parsons, who is entering the final year of his deal but hopes to sign a lucrative extension with the Cowboys before the start of the season. The star pass rusher totaled 43 tackles and 12 sacks last season while being limited to just 13 games due to injury. Arguably the best pass rusher in the league, Parsons will likely land a record-setting deal whenever he does sign an extension.
  • FA Quarterback
FOX Sports’ Jordan Schultz reports Syracuse QB Kyle McCord is scheduled to meet with the Giants on Tuesday.
McCord is meeting with the Steelers on Monday. Per Schultz, the former Ohio State/Syracuse signal-caller has seen his draft stock rise in the months since the college season ended thanks to his prototypical size and impressive interviews. McCord led the nation in passing last season and could turn into a solid Day 2 value for several teams needing a quarterback outside of the top few picks in this year’s draft. McCord landing with the Giants would give him a chance to redshirt his rookie season to learn behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston before being let loose in his second year.
  • FA Safety #19
Free agent LB Isaiah Simmons is visiting with the Packers on Monday.
Simmons was selected No. 8 overall by the Cardinals and spent the last two seasons with the Giants. A linebacker/safety hybrid, Simmons has appeared in 34 games since 2023, making just five starts. He’s totaled 71 tackles, two TFLs, one interception, and five pass breakups over that span but played on a career-low 181 defensive snaps last season. Simmons will be 27 at the start of next season but has struggled to live up to the potential that made him a top draft pick six years ago. Wherever he lands next, it will likely be on a one-year prove-it deal as a role player.
  • Penn State EDGE Abdul Carter will have a top-30 visit with the Patriots.
Per Adam Schefter, Carter has already met with the Titans, Browns, and Giants but turned down all other top-30 visits with teams picking outside of the top four picks. The Penn State pass rusher is viewed as the No. 1 pass rusher in the draft and is coming off a season in which he totaled 12 sacks and also led the nation with 24 TFLs. The Patriots already have their quarterback situation figured out with Drake Maye in tow, but would benefit from adding a premiere pass rusher after ranking dead last as a team in sacks with 28. Carter would hopefully provide them an immediate pass-rushing threat for the next decade as the Patriots look to turn a corner following three-straight losing seasons.
  • FA Quarterback #7
TitansInsider.com’s Terry McCormick reports that the Titans have become “sold on” drafting Miami QB Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick.
Per McCormick, the Titans’ 18-minute talk with Ward at the NFL Scouting Combine proved to be “the big turning point” in the Titans’ evaluation process. The discussion prompted Titans brass to schedule Ward’s top-30 visit, in which Ward reportedly “wowed” attendees with his “alpha personality, astute knowledge of the game and his detailed understanding of the QB position.” The team then sent an “arsenal” of coaches, evaluators and media members to Ward’s Pro Day, which was followed days later by a private workout attended by “reclusive” owner Amy Adams Strunk. Ward is on track to be drafted No. 1 overall and seemingly having won the entire Titans organization over during the pre-draft process.
  • DAL Quarterback #4
The Dallas Morning News reports that Dak Prescott (hamstring) will be a limited participant when the Cowboys begin voluntary workouts on Monday.
On Saturday, Prescott declared that if he “had to play a game today, [he] definitely could,” now four months removed from hamstring surgery. Monday’s workouts should provide clarity as to the comment’s veracity. New head coach Brian Schottenheimer could have begun voluntary workouts last week, an opportunity shared by all first-year head coaches, but Schotty instead chose to delay the process. Doing so, perhaps, to provide his quarterback with an extra week of prep time—or, maybe, it was to give the front office one last chance to sign Micah Parsons to a record-setting megadeal before team activities begin. Fantasy managers, stay tuned.
  • DAL Linebacker #11
The Dallas Morning News reports it is “unknown” whether Micah Parsons will attend the Cowboys’ voluntary workouts this week.
The Cowboys begin voluntary workouts on Monday. Parsons frequently skips “portions” of these events, which has been a point of contention with the team at times. Late in the 2024 season, he reportedly stated that he planned to attend them this year, perhaps as a sign of good faith. Parsons is scheduled to hit free agency after the 2025 season and expects to sign a record-setting contract before the season begins. His attendance, or lack thereof, could give us an indication as to how the negotiations are proceeding.
  • CHI Cornerback #6
Bears signed CB Kyler Gordon to a three-year, $40 million extension through 2028.
Gordon produced career highs in both forced incompletions (six) and tackles for loss or no gain (eight) as a full-time slot- and box-coverage defender last year. The Bears initially tasked him with a part-time perimeter role in his 2022 rookie season, but the 6-foot, 200-pound player has found his groove as a centerfield disruptor. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal now makes Gordon the NFL’s highest-paid slot corner. Gordon has missed two-to-four games in each of his three NFL seasons, though the injuries are promisingly unrelated.
