  • WAS Defensive Back #40
Restricted free agent CB Cary Williams underwent postseason surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip.
Williams is facing two to six months of recovery, and it could impact the tender he receives as a restricted free agent. A former seventh-round pick, Williams started all 16 games in 2011 but will be pushed by Jimmy Smith in 2012.
  • TB Defensive Lineman #50
Buccaneers DL Vita Vea (MCL) did not practice Wednesday.
Vea was reportedly scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the injury’s severity. No new information has been released beyond confirming the knee injury is an MCL sprain. Vea could miss time. Buccaneers DT Calijah Kancey (calf) and backup DL William Gholston (knee) likewise did not practice Wednesday, though EDGE Logan Hall (foot) was limited.
  • TB Cornerback #35
Buccaneers CB Jamel Dean (knee) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) and backup DB Josh Hayes (ankle) are also hurt at the moment. Dean’s injury comes at an inopportune time though his Wednesday LP is potentially a positive for Week 3.
  • Buccaneers S Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
Winfield suffered the injury in practice last week and he was preemptively ruled out well before Week 2 kickoff. The Buccaneers secondary and defensive line is littered with injuries at the moment.
  • DEN Tight End #80
Broncos TE Greg Dulcich (knee/ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
A limited session to open the week is usually nothing, but it bears monitoring for Dulcich. The former third-round pick has a laundry list of injuries since entering the league two years ago and only appeared in two games in 2023. He saw eight targets in Week 2 but only reeled in three of those looks for 16 yards. If healthy, Dulcich will have some TE2 juice versus the Bucs.
  • DEN Wide Receiver #11
Broncos WR Josh Reynolds (Achilles) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Reynolds was limited in practice because of the Achilles injury last week but played through it without any issues. He reeled in four passes for 93 yards in another poor outing for Bo Nix and the Denver offense. Reynolds has surprisingly been one of the team’s best performers through two weeks. Barring any setbacks with the Achilles injury, he will hang out in the WR5 range for Week 3.
  • HOU Wide Receiver #12
KPCR2’s Aaron Wilson reports Nico Collins (hip/foot) is expected to play in Week 3 against the Vikings.
Collins popped up on the injury report as a DNP to start the week. It was a surprise addition to the report for Houston’s No.1 receiver. He played a full four quarters in Houston’s Week 2 win and racked up 135 yards plus a touchdown on 10 targets. Wilson’s almost immediate report saying Collins is expected to play suggests his absence from Wednesday’s practice was maintenance or precautionary. We will learn more from Thursday’s injury report, but fantasy managers should sit tight and plan to have the star receiver in their lineups for Week 3 until further notice.
  • MIN Wide Receiver #3
Vikings WR Jordan Addison (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.
Addison’s return-to-play date remains unclear but an extended absence is probably the best thing for a complete return to form. Fantasy managers should expect to be without him until something changes.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #11
A.J. Brown (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday.
The Eagles held a walkthrough on Wednesday so Brown’s status is only an estimation. ESPN’s Lisa Salters reported on Monday that Brown is expected to miss multiple weeks, so it’s safe to assume Brown would not have taken part in a full practice and isn’t likely to see the field this week. Rookie wideout Johnny Wilson also missed practice with a hamstring injury. Britain Covey, who caught all six of his targets for 26 yards in Week 2, appears set to take on another sizable workload this week.
  • MIN Running Back #33
Vikings RB Aaron Jones (hip) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Jones’ Limited Participant designation is a great sign for his Week 3 availability. The team notably signed veteran RB Myles Gaskin to the active roster on Wednesday, after elevating him to the active roster once before, prior to Week 1 kickoff. Gaskin’s transaction is likely a precautionary move but is noteworthy, given Jones’ injury.
  • BAL Linebacker #53
Ravens LB Kyle Van Noy (eye/groin) did not practice Wednesday.
Van Nnoy suffered a fractured orbital bone in Week 1 but played through the issue in Week 2. His DNP on Wednesday is either maintenance for the eye issue or primarily related to the groin injury, which is a new addition to his injury status. Van Noy only practiced once last week before playing, so his participation on Wednesday doesn’t mean much regarding his status for Week 3.
