Speaking to ESPN’s Rich Cimini, Jets OC Tanner Engstrand said he wants his players to play fast, aggressively, and physically while generating explosive plays.
Engstrand also said he wants his players “to be detailed,” but for fantasy purposes, we’ll focus on the fast pace and explosive gains. Engstrand is drawing from the successes he enjoyed as a member of the 2024 Lions coaching staff, which helped pilot that offense to top-six marks in offensive plays per game (67.5), 10-plus-yard run plays (68) and 15-plus-yard pass plays (104). A small number of Jets players could command significant offensive touch counts, thanks to the team’s generally shallow skill player corps, if Engstrand succeeds in running a similarly fast-paced offense.
