Redskins DE Jarvis Jenkins (ACL surgery) is expected to participate in offseason conditioning work this spring.
Per coach Mike Shanahan, the 2011 second-rounder remains ahead of schedule in his recovery. In late October, DC Jim Haslett estimated Jenkins could have played late in the season had he not been placed on injured reserve. Jenkins was a training camp sensation before suffering the injury in preseason action.
  • NYJ Quarterback #8

Jets QB Aaron Rodgers said he’ll play Sunday and is dealing with a “little” MCL injury.
Only two more games left of this! Rodgers has been banged up all season and has played like a quarterback who has been banged up all season, and while he’s been good for fantasy football over the last month against some of the league’s worst defenses, he figures to be more of a superflex QB2 this week against the Bills.
  • SF Tackle #67
49ers signed T Charlie Heck off Arizona’s practice squad.
The 49ers desperately need bodies with several of their linemen set to miss the final two weeks of the season. Heck played 30 snaps for the Cardinals as a reserve this year and was active in five games. He was a passable backup with the Texans in their Lost Era of 2020-2022, starting 13 games for David Culley’s crew in 2021.
  • TEN Quarterback #11
Titans coach Brian Callahan said Mason Rudolph will start at quarterback against the Jaguars in Week 17.
Callahan hemmed and hawed about who he’d use at quarterback on Monday, but has settled on another Rudolph start. Rudolph will be a low-end superflex QB2 in a good matchup against Jacksonville’s defense in Week 17. It’s also strong news for Calvin Ridley off another solid game in Week 16 with Rudolph (3/78/1). Will Levis remains on the bench for yet another week as the Titans believe Rudolph’s ability to stay on schedule will help them push the Jaguars lower in the draft order.
  • ARI Wide Receiver #18
Cardinals QB Kyler Murray said “We’ve gotta get better. It’s not where he wants it to be, it’s not where I want to be, it’s not where this team needs it to be,” when asked about his connection with Marvin Harrison Jr.
Fantasy football heads everywhere are nodding their heads reading this. Harrison hasn’t cleared 60 yards since October and Murray has completed only 18-of-34 targets to Harrison in the last month of games. Perhaps this quote points to added attention for fixing the connection in these last two games, perhaps not. What is clear is that starting Harrison is a risk in Week 17.
  • PIT Quarterback #2
Justin Fields (abdominal) is questionable for Pittsburgh’s Week 17 game against the Chiefs.
He got in two limited practices this week after getting hurt on a run against the Eagles in Week 15. Fields packages have been used seven times in four games since he lost the starting job to Russell Wilson. You can move on if you’re rostering him still.
  • PIT Cornerback #24
Steelers CB Joey Porter Jr. (knee) will not play in Pittsburgh’s Week 17 game against the Chiefs.
The Steelers do get Donte Jackson back, but will have to rely on depth corners against Kansas City’s talented receiving corps. Porter Jr. did not practice in any of the three Steelers’ sessions this week and should be considered questionable for Week 18 at this point as well.
  • PIT Wide Receiver #14
George Pickens (hamstring) does not carry a designation on Pittsburgh’s final injury report.
Pickens will return after missing Weeks 14-16 with a hamstring injury. Pittsburgh’s best receiver, Pickens profiles as a borderline WR2 this week and could wind up with a small boost if the Steelers rest Chris Jones (calf). He practiced in full each of the final two days of the week.
What to expect in Chiefs-Steelers Christmas game
Mike Florio previews the Christmas day matchup between the Chiefs and Steelers, including Patrick Mahomes' high-ankle injury, and whether Pittsburgh can snap a two-game losing streak.
  • KC Defensive Lineman #95
Chiefs DT Chris Jones (calf) is questionable for Week 17 against the Steelers.
Jones got in a limited session on Tuesday, which was enough to get him on to the questionable line. His absence would be a big deal as he’s clearly Kansas City’s most-renowned pass rusher and draws a lot of attention away from his fellow rushers. Pittsburgh’s offense would greatly benefit if Jones sits this week.
  • GB Wide Receiver #9
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Christian Watson (knee) suffered a bruise and could play against the Vikings in Week 17.
Watson awkwardly landed on a red zone target and sat on the turf for a few minutes before getting up and out of a blowout MNF game against the Saints. Practice reports will be key, but it doesn’t seem like Watson will be in any danger of missing time from this update.
  • SF Linebacker #57
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said his “gut” is that Dre Greenlaw (Achilles recovery) will “end up being shut down.”
Greenlaw only played portions of two games for the 49ers — admittedly playing fairly well against the Rams — but struggled with discomfort as he came back from a torn Achilles. The 28-year-old will be a free agent in 2025 and should draw plenty of interest around the NFL, though ultimately the contract he signs may come down to the medicals. If this is it for Greenlaw in 2025, he finishes with nine tackles in two starts.
