Jaguars acquired MLB Kirk Morrison from the Raiders in exchange for the No. 108 overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Jacksonville was seeking an inside linebacker, and was believed to be heavily interested in Rolando McClain before Oakland surprised the world with a sensible pick and drafted him eighth overall. Morrison, 28, isn’t a true thumper, but is annually among the most productive linebackers in the league and has proven incredibly durable. He should remain a top-10 IDP LB behind Terrance Knighton and rookie Tyson Alualu in Jacksonville.
  • FA Head Coach

247Sports’ Grant Hughes reports Bill Belichick interviewed with the North Carolina Tar Heels for their head coaching vacancy.
Not many people had Belichick going back to school on their 2024 Coaching Carousel Bingo card, but the 72-year-old future Hall of Famer is at least keeping his options open. Belichick has never run a college program, so it’s hard to imagine the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach wanting to get in the game now, but anything is possible. While possible, it doesn’t seem probable. Wherever Belichick coaches next will likely be his last destination, and the long-time coach is still chasing Don Shula for the NFL’s all-time wins record, which sits at 328. Belichick would likely need three more seasons in the league if he hopes to set the all-time wins record, and making the jump to college only delays. Belichick is expected to meet with several NFL teams when the coaching cycle kicks off in just a few months. Even if he does make the jump to college, we wouldn’t expect him to do so until he’s exhausted all of his options in the pros.
  • TEN Wide Receiver #83
Tyler Boyd (foot) did not practice on Thursday.
The foot injury is a new one for Boyd, who popped up on Wednesday’s injury report as limited with the issue. His being downgraded to a DNP on Thursday isn’t great for his Week 14 availability, so we’ll see where things stand on Friday when the Titans release their final injury report. Even if he’s active, Boyd hasn’t been the viable PPR scammer we’ve seen in years past. He’ll be well off the fantasy radar for next week even if active.
  • TB Wide Receiver #10
Trey Palmer (hip) was limited in Thursday’s practice.
Palmer likely suffered the injury in Thursday’s practice so he should be considered highly questionable to suit up for Week 14 against the Raiders. Palmer is not a fantasy-relevant player but his potential absence would free up a few targets for active players.
  • TB Quarterback #6
Baker Mayfield (knee/Achilles) practiced in full on Thursday.
Fantasy managers should fully expect to have Mayfield available against the lowly Raiders in Week 14, though his pass-catching corps may be short-staffed. Mike Evans (hamstring/calf) and Bucky Irving (hip/back) have missed Week 14’s first two practices.
Declining workload hurts Hubbard, White in Week 14
Connor Rogers, Jay Croucher and Lawrence Jackson Jr. explain why they're out on Chuba Hubbard and Rachaad White in Week 14, citing workload changes as a major reasons for fading both running backs.
  • LV Quarterback #12
Aidan O’Connell (illness) did not practice Thursday.
O’Connell’s absence on Thursday sent shockwaves through NFL newsrooms as reporters waited with bated breath for news on why the Raiders’ QB1 was unavailable. Fortunately, any amount of concern was quickly laid to rest when it was revealed O’Connell was dealing with an illness. For now, we’ll assume this is something minor that he’ll move past in short order, meaning he should be good to go for Week 14’s game against the Buccaneers.
  • TB Running Back #7
Bucky Irving (hip/back) did not practice on Thursday.
Fantasy managers should immediately check to see if Rachaad White and Sean Tucker are available in their leagues. If Irving sits, Tucker would be involved as a likely low-double-digit rusher while White handles passing-down duties and chips in with a decent rushing workload of his own. Irving is trending toward sitting out at this time.
  • JAX Wide Receiver #11
Parker Washington (shoulder) was added to the Jaguars’ injury report on Thursday.
Washington posted the first 100-yard game of his career in last week’s loss to the Texans and stands to see an increased role for the remainder of the year with Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis both out for the season. We don’t know the severity of Washington’s injury or if he’s a legitimate risk of missing Week 14’s game against the Titans, making this injury one to watch when the Jaguars release their final injury report on Friday.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #19
Cedric Tillman (concussion) did not practice on Thursday.
Tillman is now clearly a long shot to play in Week 14 against the Steelers, fully unable to practice since suffering a Week 12 concussion. Both Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore should see helpful target bumps this week.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #8
Elijah Moore (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday.
Moore’s shoulder rehabilitation appears to be going well. He is firmly on track to face the Steelers in Week 14 and could once again see an elevated target share with Cedric Tillman (concussion) sidelined again on Thursday. Moore is a volume-based flex play.
  • NO Wide Receiver #16
Bub Means (ankle) was not spotted at Thursday’s practice.
Means was designated to return earlier this week and got in a limited practice on Wednesday. If he didn’t practice Thursday, that could be due to load management as the team looks to work him back into the mix. The Saints have 21 days to activate Means from injured reserve, so there’s no guarantee we see him in Week 14 against the Giants.
