Raiders coach Tom Cable said MLB Kirk Morrison’s elbow injury is a two-week deal.
Cable also added that Morrison was ahead of Ricky Brown in their battle for the starting middle linebacker job. Assuming Morrison gets back in time for the preseason finale, which Cable said he could, we expect Morrison to be the Week 1 starter. Brown remains a candidate to start on the strong side.

D’Andre Swift (quad) is questionable for Week 14 against the 49ers.
  • CHI Wide Receiver #2
DJ Moore (quad) is questionable for Week 14 against the 49ers.
Moore finally returned to practice on Friday but unfortunately was unable to practice in full. A veteran player like him does not need to practice in order to absorb the game plan so he should play effectively in that regard, if active. The latter part does seem to be in question though. Fantasy managers can start him as a volatile WR2 against the 49ers if he can go on Sunday afternoon. For now, see if Rome Odunze is available in free agency.
  • NYJ Wide Receiver #10
Jets activated Allen Lazard (chest) from injured reserve.
Offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer was activated from injured reserve as well. Lazard had 412 yards and five touchdowns before suffering the chest injury in Week 8. Most of his production came before Davante Adams joined the mix, so fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him to keep up the pace in the final month of the season. As a distant third receiver for a struggling offense, Lazard is not on the fantasy radar for Week 14.
  • KC Wide Receiver #17
Andy Reid told reporters Mecole Hardman’s “knee locked up on him” before Friday’s practice.
Beat reporter Sam McDowell adds that the injury leaves Harman’s “status in question for Sunday.” Hardman appears very unlikely to play. The banged-up WR has dealt with knee, shoulder and toe injuries since Week 10, suggesting he may have aggravated the preexisting issue.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #6
DeVonta Smith (hamstring) said he will play in Week 14 against the Panthers.
Smith specifically said “count me in” when asked if he was playing. He told reporters he was pushing to play last week but the team had to shut him down. Smith has been practicing in full throughout the week, so his status for Sunday’s game was never in doubt. Philly’s No. 2 receiver missed two games with the hamstring issue, but the fact that he nearly played last week should prevent fantasy managers from getting cold feet with him for Week 14. Smith is back in the WR2 ranks for a potentially explosive matchup with a soft Panthers defense.
  • NYJ Linebacker #57
Jets placed LB C.J. Mosley (neck) on injured reserve.
Mosley has been out over a month with the neck issue and previously missed time with a toe injury. Though he could technically return from injured reserve in Week 18, that’s not going to happen for the 32-year-old linebacker. Mosley will almost certainly end the year with 17 tackles and no other counting stats of note across four games. Mosley is under contract with the Jets for one more season.
  • NYJ Cornerback #1
Jets CB Sauce Gardner (hamstring) is doubtful for Week 14 against the Dolphins.
Closing out another lost season, there’s zero shot the Jets push Gardner to play through the doubtful tag. He’s out for Week 14 and possibly longer. Gardner has just six pass breakups and no interceptions this year, but some of the league’s best corners have surprisingly low counting stats because opponents simply don’t throw their way. Gardner falls into that category. Tyreek Hill has been stuck in the WR2 ranks for most of the season. Though it’s hard to trust him as a WR1 for Week 14, the loss of Gardner makes the Jets matchup far less concerning for a player who still possesses elite talent.
  • NYJ Running Back #20
Breece Hall (knee) is doubtful for Week 14 against the Dolphins.
The “doubtful” designation is pretty generous, considering Hall didn’t log a practice this week. The Jets’ RB1 is all but a lock to miss Week 14’s game against the Dolphins, paving the way for rookie Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis to see work in his stead. Allen is the favorite to lead the Jets’ backfield in early down carries and overall touches, but we can’t rule out Davis’ potential impact in the passing game. In last week’s loss to the Seahawks, Davis ran a season-high eight routes while catching all three of his targets for 28 yards and a score. Allen will border on an RB2/RB3 if Hall doesn’t play.
  • TEN Guard #66
Titans OG Logan Bruss suffered a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.
Bruss started a few games at left guard earlier this season. He previously suffered a torn ACL in 2022 just before the start of the season. Initially drafted by the Rams in the third round, Bruss was waived by LA in his second season. The Titans claimed him a few days later. He has one year left on his rookie deal.
  • CLE Wide Receiver #19
Cedric Tillman (concussion) won’t play in Week 14 against the Steelers.
The Browns also ruled out Jedrick Wills, who will miss his fourth-straight game after briefly returning in Week 9. Tillman suffered a concussion in Week 12 against the Steelers and will now miss his second-straight game, but will hopefully have a chance to suit up in Week 15 when the Browns play host to the Chiefs.
