Jaguars re-signed QB Todd Bouman and TE Charles Davis.
Bouman, 35, has a decent grasp of coordinator Dirk Koetter’s offense, but the Jags should be able to do better as a backup for David Garrard. They could be interested in Josh McCown and Daunte Culpepper. Davis is a camp body.

Bills LB Matt Milano (biceps) returned to practice on Thursday.
Thursday marked Milano’s second practice since he suffered a torn biceps during training camp. A staple of the Bills’ defense, Milano was expected to return at some point in the season, but when he would return was always up in the air. With the Bills officially opening his 21-day return window, they now have three weeks to activate him from injured reserve, which means the latest we could see him would be Week 14 against the Rams. Milano has been listed as a limited participant in both practices this week.
  • BUF Tight End #86
Dalton Kincaid (knee) did not practice on Thursday.
The 8-2 Bills are in a tricky situation. They currently sit second in the AFC playoff picture, trailing only the 9-0 Chiefs, their Week 11 opponent. While the game can only be viewed as a must-win contest, it is important to note that the Bills are on bye in Week 12. Resting Kincaid for two weeks could give him the time he needs to be at full strength for a Super Bowl run.
  • MIN Quarterback #9
J.J. McCarthy (meniscus) received a platelet-rich plasma injection “after an exploratory procedure to confirm there was no larger issue.”
The report comes from The Minnesota Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling, who clarified a previous report regarding McCarthy’s latest knee-related developments. Per Goessling, “McCarthy had a biologic injection to deal with intermittent swelling in his knee. No change to his recovery timeline.” While previous reports suggested McCarthy required a second surgery to address an issue with his repaired meniscus, Goessling’s source told him “it was just an injection... No second surgery.” Confusion likely arose over the “exploratory procedure” that was used to help diagnose the cause of the intermittent swelling but McCarthy’s “recovery and timetable remain on course.” He should be good to go in 2025.
  • GB Running Back #32
Packers HC Matt LaFleur said, “I think that would probably be the action we would take,” when asked if MarShawn Lloyd could occupy the open spot on the team’s roster.
The Packers have an opening on their 53-man roster, and their decision not to fill it at this time generated some speculation on Thursday. The team designated Lloyd for return on Wednesday, meaning he can be activated to the 53-man roster whenever they deem fit. We’re still a few days removed from the Packers having to decide on what to do with Lloyd this week, but LaFleur’s response suggests he could be activated ahead of Sunday’s game against the Bears.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #18
Beat reporter Jay Skurski reports Amari Cooper (wrist) “says he feels like he’ll be able to play” after practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday.
While Cooper’s words are encouraging, it would be great to see him practice in full at least once before Week 11 kicks off. Thursday marks his eighth consecutive Limited Participant practice designation so he is clearly still rehabilitating the injury. Hopefully, he can practice in full on Friday. He would be a volatile WR3 for Week 11, if active after another limited practice.
  • PIT Running Back #22
Najee Harris (ankle) returned to practice Thursday.
Harris was sidelined on Wednesday by his ankle injury but returned to the field on Thursday. It’s a good sign for his Week 11 availability against a stout Ravens run defense, and Harris still has Friday’s practice to go. True to form, Harris averaged 2.5 YPC on 21 carries in last week’s win over the Commanders. He shouldn’t be counted on as anything more than a boom-or-bust RB2 if he’s active against the Ravens this week.
  • MIA Wide Receiver #10
Tyreek Hill (wrist) was seen practicing on Thursday.
Given what we know about Hill’s injury and his decision to play through it, there’s a good chance Wednesday’s DNP was more of a rest day than anything that would signal him missing Week 11’s game against the Raiders. When asked about the possibility of surgery on his wrist, Hill said that was something that’s been discussed but that he wants to play through the injury. Unless the team suggests otherwise, we’d expect Hill to be on the field this week, where he’ll profile as a solid WR1.
  • BAL Safety #14
Kyle Hamilton (ankle) returned to practice on Thursday.
Hamilton was a DNP on Wednesday and will presumably be listed as limited on Thursday. The Ravens’ All-Pro safety suffered an ankle injury in the team’s Week 10 win over the Bengals, but the severity of the injury was downplayed by head coach John Harbaugh the following day. With Friday’s practice still to go, it’s looking like Hamilton will have a good chance to suit up this weekend in a pivotal AFC North matchup against rival Pittsburgh.
  • JAX Running Back #4
Tank Bigsby (ankle) was not spotted at Thursday’s practice.
That makes two straight DNPs for Bigsby to open the week. The second-year back was limited in practice all of last week but ultimately played through his ankle injury. As things stand right now, his Week 11 availability is very much up in the air, but that can change if he can get on the field Friday. Even if he’s active, Bigsby will be hard to trust as anything more than a dart throw after seeing only two carries in last week’s loss to the Vikings.
  • CIN Wide Receiver #5
Tee Higgins (quad) was seen practicing Thursday.
Higgins was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice and will presumably log another limited session on Thursday. He’s far from a lock to suit up in Week 11 against the Chargers, but Higgins is trending in the right direction with one practice left to go in the week. If he can get on the field Friday, he should have a good chance of suiting up against a stout Chargers defense that’s allowed the fewest points of any team in the league through the first 10 weeks.
