  • NO Defensive Lineman
Chiefs DTs James Reed and Ron Edwards begin the year as starters.
Both players were signed during the offseason. Edwards was a reserve for the Bills in 2005. Lional Dalton and former top-ten pick Ryan Sims are currently at the bottom of the depth chart.
  • LAR Safety #43
Rams S John Johnson III will miss 4-6 weeks after being diagnosed with a fractured scapula.
Johnson will be placed on injured reserve after suffering the injury in the Week 2 loss to the Cardinals. The safety was re-signed by the Rams over the summer, and was starting at free safety prior to the injury. Kamren Kinchens — the Rams third-round pick of 2024 — will likely see the reps there with Johnson out.
  • Kicker #46
The Giants brought in kickers Randy Bullock, Zane Gonzalez, Riley Patterson and Tanner Brown for a workout Monday.
The Giants are going to be without Graham Gano for a few weeks, so the team needs a short-term fill-in. Bullock served as a replacement for the Giants last year, so it would seem he would have a leg up — pun kind of intended — for the gig.
  • GB Running Back #32
MarShawn Lloyd told reporters Monday that he suffered a sprained ankle during Week 2 against the Colts.
Lloyd said that he was day-to-day with the injury. The 23-year-old rushed six time for 15 yards and brought in one catch for three yards in his NFL debut, but he looked better than that line indicates. Whether Lloyd is able to go will hinge on his ability to return to practice, but even if he goes, Josh Jacobs is the bellcow of this offense.
  • GB Quarterback #10
Packers HC Matt LaFleur told reporters that if Jordan Love (knee) were to play in Week 3 against the Titans that it would be “ideal” for him to be able practice.
LaFleur also cautioned that ideal and prerequisite are not the same thing. Even with multiple reports suggesting that Love won’t be able to play until Week 5 with his MCL injury, the Packers continue to suggest that this is a week-to-week injury. Assuming Love doesn’t get cleared for that game against Tennessee, Malik Willis will be back under center for Green Bay against the Titans.
  • PHI Wide Receiver #80
Eagles elevated Parris Campbell from the practice squad for Week 3 against the Falcons.
Campbell is a notable elevation with AJ Brown sidelined for Monday Night’s game against the Falcons. The wideout could see some targets with Brown unavailable, but there still isn’t much fantasy upside in the former second-round pick’s profile.
  • FA Tight End #88
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports that the Chiefs are waiving TE Peyton Hendershot.
Hendershot was acquired for a conditional 2026 seventh-round selection late in August from the Cowboys. Those conditions are unlikely to be met, as the Chiefs played Hendershot in just one game. He could be of interest to teams looking for some depth in the tight end room.
  • Running Back #27
Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports that the Chiefs will bring in free agent RB Kareem Hunt for a visit Tuesday.
The Chiefs are going to be without Isiah Pacheco for 6-8 weeks, and with Clyde Edwards-Helaire also on injured reserve, Kansas City is low on tailbacks. Hunt, of course, is a former third-round pick who had success with Kansas City, but was released after a tape was released showing him committing a heinous act of domestic violence. In 2023 for the Browns, Hunter ran for 411 yards on 135 carries while adding 15 receptions for 84 yards.
  • KC Running Back #10
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Isiah Pacheco is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with his fractured fibula.
Pacheco will undergo surgery this week according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, and the hope is that he will be able to return during the regular season from his fractured fibula. The Chiefs had already announced that the 25-year-old would be placed on injured reserve, and now there’s a little more clarity in the timeline. For now the Chiefs are expected to roll with Carson Steele and Samaje Perine, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire eligible to return off IR in Week 5. It’s a very disappointing development for Pacheco and fantasy managers who roster him, as he was off to a strong start to begin the 2024 campaign.
  • DEN Tackle #69
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that Mike McGlinchey is expected to miss about a month with an MCL sprain.
Oh dear. The Denver offense has been a disaster over the first two weeks, and now they won’t their starting right tackle for the rest of September and part of October. Garafolo did caution that the timeline is still fluid because evaluations are still going on, but McGlinchey won’t be on the field for Week 3 against the Buccaneers barring something unforeseeable.
  • JAX Running Back #4
Jaguars HC Doug Pederson told reporters that Tank Bigsby (shoulder) is good to go ahead of Week 3 against the Bills.
Bigsby left Week 2 against the Browns with his shoulder injury, but the tailback appears to be all set based on Pederson’s remarks for the Week 3 showdown with Buffalo. Bigsby impressed the prior week with a big day against the Dolphins, and should see a good chunk of carries even operating behind Travis Etienne as long as he has no setbacks prior to that contest.
