Chris Olave (foot) was added to the injury report on Thursday.

It is tough to say when exactly the injury happened. This is bizarre. Olave took a hard hit to the lower body late in Week 4 and subbed himself out for the team’s final possession. He did not practice on Wednesday. The team listed it as a rest day, and New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill reported that coach Kellen Moore clarified three times that Olave’s Wednesday absence was not injury-related. Olave resumed practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday with a foot injury. If this injury occurred in-game, he should be considered likely to play. If it occurred in practice today, he would be firmly in the questionable column. Stay tuned.
Defense costs Cowboys again vs. UDFA QB Daniels
Dan Patrick recaps the TNF action that saw the Buccaneers beat the Cowboys in Arlington, where the offense sputtered and shoddy defense cost the home team once again while facing UDFA rookie QB Jalon Daniels.

The Saints gave Olave a rest day on Wednesday. He then logged a limited practice on Thursday, listed with a new foot injury, and was reportedly seen sporting a walking boot after practice. ESPN’s Kat Terrell notes, however, that “walking boots are often a precautionary measure.” The fact that the team cleared him right away is reassuring. He can be treated as a low-end WR1, as usual. Olave later told Terrell that his “foot got a little bruised in Thursday’s practice, but he’s good.”
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave found himself with a relatively quiet receiving line in the first half as the Saints struggled to consistently move the football, something that has become far too familiar under head coach Kellen Moore’s tutelage. As has been the case for some time, Olave got going after the break, ending with his third 100-yard game in four tries, now trailing only CeeDee Lamb in receiving yards through the first month of the season. Fantasy managers will want to monitor the electric wide receiver’s practice status in the coming days after he pulled himself out of the game on the team’s final possession with some sort of ailment. If healthy, Olave remains an elite WR1 ahead of a Week 5 meeting with the Vikings.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave won at every level, be it on outs, corners or crossers. He nearly scored three times. Once on the Saints’ first possession, another on the third and again on the fourth. Tyler Shough overthrew him on the first sequence. Olave had his defender beat as he broke inward at the Raiders’ 10-yard line. On the second one, Shough tried to force a tight-window throw from the Raiders’ three-yard line but two Raiders defenders swatted the pass down at the line of scrimmage. The last one was perhaps the biggest heartbreak. Shough connected with Olave on a slant route from the Raiders’ seven-yard line and Olave was tackled immediately after catching it at the one-yard line. Saints TE Juwan Johnson scored two plays later. Olave remains a WR1 against the Falcons next week.

Olave was solid despite playing through a hamstring injury that had him listed as questionable entering the day. His 10 targets led all Saints receivers as he hauled in several key passes to keep the offense on schedule in a game the Saints trailed most of the way. Olave found the end zone in the fourth quarter on an uncontested 21-yard reception to cut the Ravens’ lead to 17-15, setting the Saints up to score on a two-point conversion and tie the game on the next play. Olave has seen 23 targets in his first two games and can be treated as a high-end WR1 in next week’s game against the Raiders.

Olave is officially active after popping up on Thursday’s injury report with a hamstring issue. He logged a limited practice Friday, so hopefully he won’t be too hampered in what could be a high-scoring game. Assuming a normal workload, Olave projects as a solid WR1. While Olave is active, the Saints did declare RB Kendre Miller, QB Zach Wilson, CB Decamerion Richardson, LB Isaiah Stalbird, DL Christen Miller, OL Mason Murphy, and DL John Ridgeway III inactive for Week 2.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave left Thursday’s practice as a precaution and was limited again on Friday. The team listed him as questionable heading into the weekend. It seems like the Thursday departure truly was a precaution, and Olave is good to go for a potential shootout with Baltimore. With plenty of passing volume to go around in the Saints’ offense, Olave sits at the end of the WR1 mix for Week 2.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave was present at the portion of practice available to media Friday after being limited for “precautionary reasons” the day prior. Although he seems to be trending towards playing against the Ravens, the questionable designation is something fantasy managers will want to monitor when game-day inactives are announced 90-minutes prior to first kick. The good news is that the Saints play in the early window on Sunday, giving managers time to react should they be dealt a surprise on Sunday. Olave will be a volume-driven WR1 against the Ravens, if active.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Underhill adds that Olave’s hamstring issue is not expected to be a “problem.” If this really is a non-issue, perhaps Olave just experienced cramping today and will be back out there on Friday, practicing in full. That said, soft tissue issues that pop up mid-week are typically not good. Saints No. 2 WR Devaughn Vele is worth adding if he is a free agent.
  • NO Wide Receiver #12
Olave was added to the injury report after not being on it at all on Wednesday. Saints reporter Mike Triplett said that Olave was spotted during the option portion of media practice. This is fairly concerning, though we have scant information on the injury at this point. Friday’s status will be enormous for Olave.

The Saints got off to a slow start and it looked like Olave, along with the rest of the offense, was going to have a bust of a fantasy day. Instead, Tyler Shough turned the corner in the third quarter and started peppering Olave with intermediate and deep shots. Olave had two gains of 40+ yards and four of 20+ yards. Olave gets another potential shootout next week when he takes on the Ravens. He will be in the WR1 mix.

Bears CB Kyler Gordon (calf) is questionable to play in Week 5 against the Packers.

Gordon practiced in full all week, so he is seemingly ready to play. The Bears could give it another week, though. Bears LB Noah Sewell (Achilles) and EDGE Shemar Stewart (knee) are also questionable this week. Both players practiced in full over the last two days and are likewise returning from the reserve/physically unable to perform list.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Bears QB Tyson Bagent will “most likely” start in Week 5 against the Packers.

Caleb Williams (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity today, and the Bears ended up listing him as questionable to play. Consider him highly questionable. Rushing their star quarterback back onto the field when Bagent and Case Keenum have both played well is unnecessary. Regardless, keep an eye on this situation.

Caleb Williams (hamstring) is questionable to play in Week 5 against the Packers.

Bears coach Ben Johnson told reporters on Monday that Tyson Bagent will start against the Packers this week. Fast forward a few days and the odds have changed slightly. Williams did a little throwing, practicing in a limited capacity today, and is progressing through his rehab plan. That said, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Bagent will “most likely” get the start. We expect that to be the case. Regardless, make sure Williams is rostered in 12-team formats.

49ers EDGE Nick Bosa (calf) said it is “pretty darn likely” he plays in Week 6 against the Falcons.

Bosa has missed two games since injuring his left calf in pre-practice warmups. He will miss his third game this weekend, but apparently the rehab progress is going well. The 49ers go on by in Week 8, and the team initially considered shutting him down until Week 9. Things are currently progressing well for the veteran pass rusher, though.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer said LT Tyler Guyton’s back injury is not considered serious.

This is good news. Guyton was replaced by OT Broderick Jones for the Cowboys’ final possession in Week 5 against the Buccaneers. Guyton and the rest of the Cowboys have an extended time off to rest and rehab their injuries after playing on Thursday night.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Jayden Daniels (elbow) is “not 100 percent” healthy yet.

Rapoport, typically cheery on the injury front, said that there are still “a lot of questions, going forward, for Jayden Daniels.” The bottom line is that Daniels is still rehabbing the elbow in his non-throwing arm. He should be able to throw and run effectively, putting him squarely in the QB1 tier, but re-injury risk remains a factor.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Justin Jefferson (ankle) plans to play in Week 5 against the Saints, but the team “has to see how he feels on Saturday.”

This is great news. We will not have to wait for the dreaded game-time decision call with Jefferson this time around. If active, Jefferson should be started as a WR1 against the Saints. He remained limited in practice all week. We will provide an update on the matter as soon as possible.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports that Terry McLaurin (hamstring) will “most likely” be a game-time decision for Week 5 against the Giants.

Keep it locked to Rotoworld, folks. Hopefully, we get word on McLaurin’s status on Saturday, but it appears as though we may have to wait until Sunday morning. Fowler adds that rookie WR Antonio Williams “could be a factor in the passing game regardless of whether McLaurin plays.”

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Seattle’s Week 6 Thursday Night Football game against the Broncos makes Zach Charbonnet’s (knee) ramp-up “tricky.”

Charbonnet is on schedule in his rehab program and “will be ready to ramp up his work next week.” Unfortunately, the Seahawks will have scaled-down practices as they prepare for their Thursday Night Football game. It sounds like Charbonnet is close to returning, but team doctors might want to see how his knee responds to a full week or practicing before clearing him. A condensed practice week indeed makes that tricky. Stay tuned.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Ravens “do not know” whether Lamar Jackson (ankle) will play in Week 6 against the Browns.

Earlier this week, Rapoport said Jackson had an “outside chance” of suiting up in Week 5 against the Falcons, but it sounds like the situation is a little more fluid than expected. With Tyler Huntley under center, the Ravens’ pass-catching corps takes a small hit, though Zay Flowers remains a must-start.
