NFL Wild Card Injury Dashboard

Dalvin Cook

Dalvin Cook

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL’s decision to get rid of the “Probable” injury designation has resulted in an overwhelming majority of players being labeled “Questionable” ahead of Sunday. Luckily, we can mostly sift through the noise and determine which questionable players have a good or bad chance of playing by tracking daily practice participation and news.

Seahawks-Eagles Preview
Philly and Seattle will have a rematch after a Week 12 game saw a sloppy Eagles loss. Rotoworld analyzes the injuries plaguing both teams and if the Eagles can upset the Seahawks.

You can view every injured player’s daily practice participation as well as their estimated and official game status in the table below, but first let’s break down some of the week’s most-important news to monitor from all eight teams that will be playing this week.

  • The Bills are incredibly healthy for the most part, although they did take two hits in Week 17 with starting CB Levi Wallace (ankle) and RT Ty Nsekhe (ankle) each leaving the game early. Both are questionable. The presence of DE Shaq Lawson (hamstring, questionable) would certainly help the defense’s cause in trying to slow down Deshaun Watson and company.
  • The Texans will get back each of WR DeAndre Hopkins (illness), WR Kenny Stills (knee), LT Laremy Tunsil (ankle) and most importantly QB Deshaun Watson (back). The status of key defensive players like CB Bradley Roby (hamstring), CB Johnathan Joseph (hamstring) and S Jahleel Addae (Achilles) is less clear, as each are listed as questionable. The good news is the team will receive a large on-field and emotional boost from J.J. Watt (pec), who wasn’t listed on the final injury report. Coach Bill O’Brien said Will Fuller (groin, questionable) is “headed in the right direction” to suit up Saturday, but reports indicate Fuller is closer to doubtful. TE Darren Fells could play a near every-down role if Jordan Akins (hamstring) is ultimately ruled out.
  • The Vikings rested Dalvin Cook (shoulder) over the past two weeks with the plan being to feed him as much as possible in the playoffs. Backup RB Alexander Mattison (ankle) is also good to go. The defense will benefit from getting LB Eric Kendricks (quad) back in action, although the absence of CBs Mike Hughes (neck, IR) and Mackensie Alexander (knee, out) is far from ideal.
  • The Saints have an almost fully healthy offense, as only FB Zach Line (knee, out) has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup against the Vikings. The same is true for the defense, as S Vonn Bell (knee) and S Marcus Williams (groin) will both return to action. They’ll only be without CB Eli Apple (ankle) on that side of the ball, but that could actually be a good thing considering Janoris Jenkins should now play a near full-time role.
  • The Patriots shouldn’t have many key starters sidelined this week, but they could’ve used the bye to rest Julian Edelman (knee/shoulder, questionable) is reportedly playing through all sorts of pain at the moment, but did tell reporters that he feels better than he has in weeks. The secondary would benefit greatly from getting No. 2 CB Jason McCourty (groin, questionable) back in action. Each of CB Jonathan Jones (groin) and LB Jamie Collins (shoulder) are expected to suit up and play through their questionable tags.
  • The Eagles are limping into the playoffs in all sorts of pain, but at least RB Miles Sanders (ankle) is good to go. The same can’t be said for RT Lane Johnson (ankle, questionable), WR Nelson Agholor (knee, out) and TE Zach Ertz (ribs/back, questionable). RG Brandon Brooks (shoulder) is done for the season.
  • The Seahawks will welcome back talented S Quandre Diggs (ankle) as well as DL Jadeveon Clowney (core). Still, the absence of LB Mychal Kendricks (knee, out) will sting. The offense has a number of additional injuries to worry about, as each of C Mike Iupati (neck, questionable) and WR Malik Turner (concussion, out), WR Jaron Brown (knee, questionable) and LT Duane Brown (biceps/knee, out) are all kinds of banged up.
  • The Titans’ passing game flowed through A.J. Brown and Corey Davis in Week 17, as each of Kalif Raymond (concussion, doubtful), Adam Humphries (ankle, out) and Cody Hollister (ankle, questionable) were sidelined. The return of No. 1 CB Adoree’ Jackson (knee) will certainly be a boost to this mediocre secondary. Keep an eye on the final status of RT Jack Conklin (knee, questionable) as well.
