Nick Mensio took the reins, drafting from the 10 spot, and competed against 11 of his Twitter followers in a full 12-team, half-PPR mock draft. Here is a look at how Round 2 and Round 3 shook out along with analysis from Nick on which picks he was high on and which ones he wasn’t a fan of based on ADP.

2022 Fantasy Football Half-PPR Mock Draft

Round 2

2.01 – Alvin Kamara, RB9
2.02 – Davante Adams, WR5
2.03 – Travis Kelce, TE1 (Nick Mensio’s Team)
2.04 – Stefon Diggs, WR6
2.05 – Antonio Gibson, RB10
2.06 – Deebo Samuel, WR7
2.07 – Javonte Williams, RB11
2.08 – Saquon Barkley, RB12
2.09 – D’Andre Swift, RB13
2.10 – CeeDee Lamb, WR8
2.11 – Aaron Jones, RB14
2.12 – Ezekiel Elliott, RB15

Notes: I’d take both Alvin Kamara and Aaron Jones over Nick Chubb in half-PPR formats. It’s sounding more and more likely that Kamara could avoid suspension for his off-field incident, and Jones could post career catch numbers with Davante Adams gone. I’m taking Diggs over a Rodgers-less Adams all day. I contemplated Kelce at 1.10 but went with Mike Evans. Surprisingly, Kelce fell to me at 2.03. Kelce is now entering his age-33 season, but the passing game will revolve around him sans Tyreek Hill. Antonio Gibson at 2.05 might be the biggest reach of the draft. The coaching staff has made it clear they don’t view Gibson as an every-down back, begging J.D. McKissic to re-sign and then using a top-100 pick on Brian Robinson as a goal-line threat. Gibson is a back-end RB2 for me, not a top-10 fantasy running back.

Round 3

3.01 – Mark Andrews, TE2
3.02 – Tyreek Hill, WR9
3.03 – Tee Higgins, WR10
3.04 – Keenan Allen, WR11
3.05 – Leonard Fournette, RB16
3.06 – A.J. Brown, WR12
3.07 – Josh Allen, QB1
3.08 – David Montgomery, RB17
3.09 – Travis Etienne, RB18
3.10 – James Conner, RB19 (Nick Mensio’s Team)
3.11 – Kyle Pitts, TE3
3.12 – DK Metcalf, WR13

Notes: Andrews is the best receiving tight end in the NFL right now and could easily post a better season than Travis Kelce. He was a big winner in the Marquise Brown trade. The Dolphins didn’t trade for Tyreek Hill for him not to be the centerpiece on offense. Fournette reportedly weighed around 260 pounds at minicamp. Rachaad White and Giovani Bernard pose threats. At 3.10, I was hoping for Etienne, but Conner’s ceiling remains very high with Chase Edmonds off to Miami. Health is his biggest obstacle. I’m thrilled with Conner as my RB1, however. Metcalf looks like another big reach at WR13. He’s downgrading at quarterback in a big way.
