Player Overview
2023: Brown spent the bulk of the 2023 season as the clear WR1 for the Arizona Cardinals. The only issue was the player throwing him the ball. He hit double-digit targets five times but failed to top 100 yards once because Josh Dobbs, Clayton Tune and a struggling Kyler Murray were his quarterbacks. A heel injury ended his season three weeks early.
What’s changed: After a middling two years in Arizona, Brown signed a one-year contract with the Chiefs. The incentive-heavy deal doesn’t guarantee him a full-time role, but Brown is walking into a great situation. Rashee Rice is facing a potential suspension and Xavier Worthy is a 165-pound speedster, giving Brown the inside track to a starting job alongside Patrick Mahomes.
Outlook: Brown has proven to be limited as a player dating back to his days in Baltimore, but his short-area speed will pair well with Mahomes’ knack for efficient throws near the line of scrimmage.
