Player Overview

2023: Months of contract negotiations and a March trade request ended with Jackson signing a five-year, $260 million contract to remain with the Ravens. The 2019 MVP turned in another tremendous season in his first year under offensive coordinator Todd Monken, throwing for 3,678-24-7 while adding another 821 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. The Ravens finally moved off the run-heavy ways of Greg Roman, finishing eighth in early down pass rate (55.2%), and 12th in pass rate over expected. Rookie Zay Flowers and veteran Odell Beckham Jr. gave Jackson the best receiving corps of his career, which was reflected in his career-best 8.0 YPA. His rushing upside continued to pad his fantasy floor, as Jackson led all quarterbacks in rushing yards and finished as the QB3 in fantasy points per game (23.9).

What’s changed: Baltimore’s backfield underwent a significant overhaul when they opted to part ways with Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins and replace them with Derrick Henry. Henry, 30, is on the back end of his career but still ran for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2023. Expected to serve as a bell cow in the Ravens’ offense, Henry could vulture some meaningful touches from Jackson – specifically near the goal-line, but we saw something similar with Edwards in 2023. Baltimore also let OBJ walk in free agency, but he was used sparingly and caught a mere 35 passes for 565 yards and three scores.

Outlook: Jackson is 27, and has Todd Monken returning for another season. Offensive weapons like Henry, Mark Andrews and Zay Flowers should be more than enough for him to have another highly productive campaign as he looks to repeat as league MVP.
