Player Overview
2023: Still stuck in the WR3 role, Osborn posted another sleepy season in Minnesota with 90 fewer yards on 12 fewer grabs than in 2022. His yards per route run fell from 1.1 to a dreary .97 and he didn’t top 100 yards in a game once. The loss of Kirk Cousins due to a torn Achilles’ didn’t help his counting stats either.
What's changed: The Vikings let Osborn test the waters of free agency and he got a one-year, $4 million contract from the Patriots. He joins a crowded New England receiving room that will be catching passes from No. 3 overall pick Drake Maye in 2024.
Outlook: Osborn didn’t get a lucrative deal in free agency, but the Pats did guarantee over $3 million of his contract, making him a good bet to make the roster and to be active on gamedays. He will likely play a rotational player early in the season but could work his way into a larger gig down the stretch.
