Dotson

2023: Dotson was nightmarishly inefficient during his second NFL season. Posting one of the league’s worst yards per route run (0.81), Dotson fell well outside fantasy’s top-50 wideouts. He managed just three games with more than nine PPR points. He had gotten away with it in 2022 with an unsustainable touchdown rate. Not so in 2023, as Dotson scored four times.

What’s changed: Former Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury was named Washington’s offensive coordinator and Dan Quinn took over as head coach. The Commanders took QB Jayden Daniels in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Outlook: It’s tough to envision Dotson as a viable fantasy option in 12-team formats in what should be a balanced or run-first Washington offense. Probably it’ll be Terry McLaurin or bust in the Washington passing attack, leaving Dotson as a potential waiver wire add later in the year.
