Player Overview
2023: Hopkins inked a two-year deal with the Titans after being cut by the Cardinals for cap purposes last offseason. The veteran wideout had only played in 19 games over two seasons because of injuries and a short PED suspension when he signed with Tennessee. Finally healthy and available for an entire season, Hopkins rebounded with a respectable 1,000-yard, seven-score season. Given the dismal state of Tennessee’s offense, his numbers were impressive.
What's changed: The Titans fired Mike Vrabel and replaced him with Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan after their second losing season in eight years. They also spent big on Calvin Ridley in free agency and later added Tyler Boyd on a team-friendly deal. Callahan will bring a modern offense to Tennessee after years of Vrabel’s run-run-pass philosophy.
Outlook: The Titans’ shift in pass rate will be stark, but Hopkins isn’t the only game in town for targets this year. Hopkins should push for 1,000 yards once again. Anything more than that will require a year-two leap from Will Levis, who struggled in the advanced metrics as a rookie.
