Player Overview
2023: Last season, Prescott threw for 4,516 passing yards and 36 touchdowns, both second-highest career totals. With CeeDee Lamb leading the Cowboys receiving corps, Prescott finished as a fantasy QB1. The Cowboys finished 12-6, losing in the Wild Card game, where Prescott threw for 403 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He had four games with four passing touchdowns last season, cruising with a career-best 69.5-percent completion percentage. With lackluster backfield play, Prescott is established as one of the highest volume passers in the league, good news for fantasy managers.
What’s changed: Not much. Ezekiel Elliott is back and Tony Pollard is gone. The Cowboys added wide receiver Ryan Flournoy in the sixth round while Michael Gallup left for the Raiders. With much of the same group back, there is little reason to think the Cowboys’ pass-heavy tendencies will change for Prescott.
Outlook: Prescott has a career filled with QB1 and high-end QB2 finishes. He will be 31 years old and in the final season of his contract in 2024, looking to earn a hefty payday. Though not many improvements were made for the offense, the Cowboys are primed for another pass-heavy season with Prescott slinging it for a QB1 fantasy valuation.
