Olave

2023: Olave ran cold last season. He had the NFL’s fifth-most air yards and the 12th-most targets among receivers on his way to a WR16 finish in fantasy. Olave had no chemistry with Derek Carr in their first season together, seen most clearly in Olave’s league-worst air yards conversion rate. Nearly all of Olave’s peripheral stats remained stable, suggesting he was just unlucky in 2023.

What’s changed: The Saints replaced former OC Pete Carmichael with Klint Kubiak, formerly the 49ers pass game coordinator.

Outlook: Olave’s 2024 ADP is sure to reflect his lack of good fortune on a tremendous number of opportunities last season. Fantasy managers would do well to realize Olave was on the wrong side of variance and he remains the clear No. 1 wideout for Carr. Only 17 wideouts have more receiving yards than Olave over the past two seasons. He could easily be a WR1 at the price of a WR2.
