Jaylen Wells took a hard fall in the first half of Tuesday’s game against the Hornets and has been taken to the hospital.

It was a scary sight in Charlotte as Wells took a hard fall and landed on his head. He was removed from the game on a stretcher. Though there was no ill intent, KJ Simpson was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul and was ejected from the game. Memphis will likely provide an update on Wells soon, but he won’t be returning to Tuesday’s game. Vince Williams Jr. and Luke Kennard should take on more minutes.

Mitchell continues to play like a player that is too good to be playing in Summer League. They’re undefeated in Las Vegas, so they’ll have a chance to compete for the championship, which may be the only reason for Mitchell to continue to play at this point.

Carlson spent last season on a two-way deal with the Thunder, and this was the first Summer League game he suited up for. In limited action, Carlson was dominant. OKC gave him another two-way contract last week, but even if he continues to play well, he will likely spend most of next season in the G League.

Edgecombe has been sidelined since scoring 28 points in his first game in Salt Lake City. Now, he’ll suit up for the first time in Las Vegas against a Wizards Summer League skeleton crew, since all five of their typical starters are sitting out.

The 2022 first-round pick never figured things out with the Bucks, and he ended last season on a two-way with New York. Though he’s not currently under contract, he’s playing for their Summer League team and is trying to earn one of their two-way spots. The results from previous games weren’t encouraging, but this was an excellent performance from him.

Tyler Kolek

NYK Point Guard #13

Tyler Kolek lit up the Nets with 25 points (7-of-17 FGs), two rebounds, four assists, four steals and five three-pointers in a 97-93 win on Tuesday.

Kolek struggled in Sunday’s loss, so a bounce-back performances like this was great to see. During his first two Summer League games, he had a total of 13 points without hitting a three, but he decimated both of those marks in just this game. Kolek will be a nice depth piece at point guard entering his second season.

Ben Saraf

BKN Shooting Guard

Ben Saraf contributed 11 points (4-of-13 FGs), three rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block against the Knicks on Tuesday.

It wasn’t a flawless performance, but with both Egor Demin and Danny Wolf sitting out, it was a good opportunity to get a closer look at Saraf, and he was able to contribute decent value. The Nets will play again on Wednesday, so if Saraf doesn’t sit, he will likely be pushed back to the bench with Demin and Wolf sidelined.

Nolan Traoré

Nolan Traoré struggled and finished with two points (1-of-8 FGs), one rebound and two assists against the Knicks on Tuesday.

Traoré has been solid this summer, but this was a rough performance for him. Egor Demin and Danny Wolf were out, which made this a great opportunity for Traoré to take on extra responsibility. It just didn’t go very well for him. The 19-year-old should have the ball in his hands a lot during his rookie year, and there could be more games like this he figures things out.

Drew Timme

BKN Power Forward #26

Drew Timme led the Nets with 24 points (8-of-19 FGs, 8-of-11 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block in a 97-93 loss to the Knicks on Tuesday.

It has been a dominant Summer League for Timme, who is averaging 25.3 points per game. He has a non-guaranteed contract with the Nets for next season, but he has played well enough to earn a long-term deal. Timme should be a valuable role player in the NBA for a long time.

Tre Johnson (hamstring), Will Riley (thumb), Alex Sarr, Bub Carrington and Kyshawn George will not play against the 76ers on Tuesday.

Johnson and Riley are the only ones dealing with an injury, and they’re both considered day-to-day. It’s worth noting this is the first night of a back-to-back for them. The rest are just getting a rest night. AJ Johnson, Leaky Black, Dillon Jones, Jamir Watkins and Liam Robbins will start.

Ron Holland

DET Small Forward

Ron Holland led the Pistons with 22 points (6-of-12 FGs, 9-of-10 FTs), six rebounds, two assists, six steals, one three-pointer and seven turnovers in an 89-73 loss to the Timberwolves on Tuesday.

After dropping 28 points in his first game of the summer, Holland was quieter on Sunday, but he got back on track against Minnesota. It wasn’t enough to get a win, but he has been impressive so far, averaging 21.7 points, 2.3 three-pointers and four steals per game. Holland should be in for a monster second year in the NBA.
