Trae Young led the Hawks with 29 points (7-of-20 FGs, 12-of-13 FTs), four rebounds, 15 assists, two steals and three three-pointers in a 127-113 loss to the Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
Young did plenty of passing in the first half of this game and entered halftime with 10 assists. Though he still added to that total after the break, he ended up doing more as a scorer in the second half. 22 of his 29 points came after the break as he fell one point shy of adding another 30-point, 10-assist game to his resume. This was his sixth-straight double-double, and he is now just 12 assists away from breaking the Hawks’ franchise record for assists in a season. He has had at least 12 assists in five consecutive game, so he could certainly break the record against Dallas on Wednesday.

Kevin Porter Jr. finished Thursday’s win over the Pelicans with 20 points (6-of-11 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, five steals and one three-pointer in 23 minutes.
  • MIL Power Forward #18
Kyle Kuzma recorded 17 points (7-of-11 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, two steals and three three-pointers in 28 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Pelicans.
  • MIL Power Forward #34
Giannis Antetokounmpo produced 28 points (11-of-17 FGs, 5-of-10 FTs), 11 rebounds, five assists, one block and one three-pointer in 26 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Pelicans.
  • NOP Shooting Guard #22
Lester Quinones accumulated 21 points (8-of-22 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal and two three-pointers in 32 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Pelicans.
  • NOP Small Forward #8
Jamal Cain accounted for 20 points (6-of-15 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds, one steal and three three-pointers in 27 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Bucks.
  • NOP Small Forward #0
Keion Brooks Jr. shot 7-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to the Bucks, scoring 20 points with six rebounds and four three-pointers in 32 minutes.
  • BKN Point Guard #10
Tyson Etienne recorded 16 points (5-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), one rebound, two assists, one steal and four three-pointers in 30 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks.
Signed to a two-way contract in early March, these games with little meaning to the standings are vital for Etienne. He was productive on Thursday, notching a career-high 16 points and four three-pointers. That isn’t enough to make Etienne a player worth adding for the weekend. However, with D’Angelo Russell out for Friday’s game against Minnesota, Etienne will remain in the Nets’ rotation.
  • BKN Power Forward #26
Drew Timme accounted for 13 points (4-of-11 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, six assists and three three-pointers in 29 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks.
Timme finished Thursday’s defeat with his second double-double, and he’s hit double figures in points in five of his seven appearances with the Nets. With Brooklyn being severely shorthanded in the frontcourt, the undrafted rookie out of Gonzaga will have opportunities to produce in the team’s final two games. That’s also the case for Tosan Evbuomwan, who added 18 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers in 28 minutes off the bench. He and Timme are worth a look in deep leagues for Friday, as Cameron Johnson and Day’Ron Sharpe are out.
  • BKN Small Forward #22
Jalen Wilson tallied 20 points (6-of-10 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and six three-pointers in 24 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Hawks.
While the Nets were blown out on Thursday, the bench kept things somewhat respectable. Wilson led four reserves in double figures with 20 points, the second time he’s hit that number in his last four appearances. With Brooklyn ruling Cameron Johnson out for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves, Wilson will have every opportunity to duplicate Thursday’s performance, even if he comes off the bench.
  • ATL Center #17
Onyeka Okongwu tallied 14 points (5-of-7 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), 15 rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer in 33 minutes in Friday’s win over the Nets.
While he was not as prolific a scorer as he was in his two games prior, Okongwu extended his double-double streak to three games on Thursday. Since the All-Star break, the Hawks center has provided top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. While Okongwu should not be selected that high in drafts next fall, his ceiling has been raised considerably since moving into the starting lineup.
