Quentin Grimes led the 76ers with 46 points (15-of-27 FGs, 8-of-13 FTs), 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block, eight three-pointers and six turnovers in a 144-137 overtime loss to the Rockets on Monday.
The Houston native had quite the performance in his hometown. 32 of his points and six of his three-pointers came in the second half and overtime, but it wasn’t enough for him to lead the shorthanded 76ers to victory. This was a new career-high in points for Grimes, which he has now set twice since being traded to Philadelphia. He has scored at least 25 points in five straight games and in six of his last seven appearances. Though this has been a lost season for the team, Grimes has been a bright spot that should have fans encouraged heading into next season.
