Bulls coach Billy Donovan said the team plans to ramp up Patrick Williams’ (quad) activity in hopes of him returning later this week.
Williams has been out since February 12 with a case of right quad tendinitis, receiving a PRP injection on February 20. The Bulls end their Week 18 schedule with games in Orlando (Thursday) and Miami (Saturday), and the hope is Williams will be available then. Matas Buzelis has been a starter since February 5, and Williams’ availability is not likely to change that.

Paolo Banchero finished Tuesday’s win over Charlotte with 32 points, seven rebounds, six assists, a steal and two triples across 36 minutes.
Banchero kept up his hot scoring in this one, delivering a game-high point total while shooting an efficient 13-of-24 from the floor. Over his first 16 games post All-Star break, Banchero averaged 29.6 points. He’s now scored at least 30 points in four straight and six of seven games, making him one of the most productive offensive players in the NBA right now. He’ll look to stay hot in Thursday’s juicy home matchup with the shorthanded Mavericks.
  • OKC Small Forward #8
Jalen Williams (hip) and Aaron Wiggins (Achilles) are out for Tuesday’s game against the Kings.
Tuesday’s game will be the seventh that Williams has missed with a strained right hip, while Wiggins played 26 minutes off the bench in Sunday’s win over the Clippers. The absences free up additional minutes for Alex Caruso and Isaiah Joe, but Chet Holmgren can also absorb some of the minutes that would have gone to J-Dub and Wiggins.
  • DET Shooting Guard #8
Tim Hardaway Jr. accounted for 12 points (4-of-7 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), two rebounds, four assists and one three-pointer in 25 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Spurs.
  • DET Center #0
Jalen Duren finished Tuesday’s win over the Spurs with 14 points (6-of-9 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs), four rebounds and seven assists in 24 minutes.
  • DET Point Guard #25
Marcus Sasser finished Tuesday’s win over the Spurs with 27 points (9-of-12 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and five three-pointers in 25 minutes.
  • DET Small Forward #12
Tobias Harris logged 27 minutes in Tuesday’s win over the Spurs, tallying 15 points (4-of-10 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, four assists, three steals, one block and three three-pointers.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #5
Stephon Castile shot 7-of-15 from the field and 4-of-6 from the foul line in Tuesday’s loss to the Pistons, accounting for 19 points, two rebounds, four assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 30 minutes.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #24
Devin Vassell amassed 26 points (10-of-21 FGs), six rebounds, one assist and six three-pointers in 32 minutes in Tuesday’s loss to the Pistons.
  • BOS Small Forward #30
Sam Hauser (back) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Suns.
Hauser was held out of Monday’s win over the Kings, which led to Baylor Scheierman remaining in the Celtics’ rotation. With Hauser available, Scheierman’s minutes will likely decrease. The rookie has not been worth rostering in fantasy leagues, so nothing changes in that regard.
  • MIL Point Guard #0
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Damian Lillard is out indefinitely with a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf.
Initially diagnosed with a strained right calf, a deep vein thrombosis has reportedly developed. While blood-thinning medications have neutralized the blood clot, the Bucks guard will be out indefinitely and will continue to be tested regularly. From a fantasy standpoint, Lillard may not return in time to help managers who have relied on him for high-level production during the playoff weeks. While Ryan Rollins has been the replacement in the starting lineup, Gary Trent Jr. is the player who should be targeted on waiver wires.
