Norman Powell amassed 27 points (9-of-15 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), eight rebounds, one assist, and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes in Wednesday’s win over San Antonio.
Powell keeps rolling along, providing consistent offensive value as one of the Clippers’ top options. Over the past two weeks, he has averaged 25.3 points per game, which is one reason why the wing has been a 3rd-round player in 8-cat formats. That’s one round better than his season-long value, and Powell hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, even with Kawhi Leonard’s return to action. He’s rostered in 89% of Yahoo leagues, meaning there may be some shallow leagues in which Powell is still lurking on the waiver wire. That needs to change.
