Kyle Kuzma tallied 19 points (7-of-14 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 10 rebounds, and one assist in 34 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to Toronto.
Kuzma led the Wizards in scoring and was the only starter to shoot over 40% from the field. He also gave fantasy managers a double-double, his third of the season. However, his assist production was minimal, and his defensive stats were non-existent. Kuzma’s stated desire to get his numbers won’t do category league managers much good if all he’s providing are points and rebounds.

LaMelo Ball, Nick Smith Jr., Josh Green, Miles Bridges, and Mark Williams will start Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.
Ball and Williams are back in the starting lineup after missing time due to injury and conditioning, respectively. Their returns mean Elfrid Payton and Jusuf Nurkic will come off the bench, with the latter still having some value in deep leagues. Also worth tracking are Moussa Diabate’s minutes, as he could fall out of the rotation entirely with Williams back in the fold.
  • GSW Power Forward #00
Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday.
Kuminga, who has been sidelined since January 4 with a sprained right ankle, practiced with the team on Wednesday. The Warriors did not provide an update on when he’ll be available for games, but participating in team practice is a positive development. However, things have changed since Kuminga’s injury, as the Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler before the trade deadline. His fantasy ceiling will likely be limited early on once he’s cleared to return.
  • CHA Point Guard #1
LaMelo Ball (ankle) and Mark Williams (conditioning) are available for Wednesday’s game against the Lakers.
Ball returns to action after missing Charlotte’s last game before the break with an ankle injury. Elfrid Payton will come off the bench, offering minimal fantasy value. As for Williams, this will be his first action since his trade to the Lakers was rescinded over a failed physical. During his pregame availability, Hornets coach Charles Lee said that Williams will be backed up by Jusuf Nurkic, which is bad news for Moussa Diabate managers.
  • WAS Small Forward #32
Khris Middleton (rest) and Marcus Smart (trade pending) were full participants in Wednesday’s practice.
The Wizards will play their first game after the All-Star break against the Bucks on Friday night, and two of the team’s trade deadline additions may be available. Middleton and Smart were full participants in Wednesday’s practice, and their availability would give Washington two veterans to help lead the four first-round picks. Fantasy managers may be concerned that Bub Carrington and Kyshawn George may lose playing time once Middleton and Smart are available, but there’s no need to panic.
  • WAS Point Guard #15
Malcolm Brogdon (leg) will not be available for Friday’s game against the Bucks.
Brogdon injured his left leg during Washington’s February 12 loss to the Pacers. While he does not have a timeline for return, Wizards coach Brian Keefe said after Wednesday’s practice that Brogdon will not be available for Friday’s game. Bub Carrington’s playing time should be secure as the starter, while Marcus Smart could make his Wizards debut after practicing on Wednesday.
  • LAL Small Forward #23
LeBron James (ankle) is available for Wednesday’s game against the Hornets.
Initially questionable for Wednesday’s game after sitting out Sunday’s All-Star Game, James is officially available. He’ll occupy his usual place in the starting lineup while Rui Hachimura misses out on a boost to his fantasy value.
  • NOP Shooting Guard #11
The Athletic’s Will Guillory reports the Pelicans will sign Brandon Boston Jr. to a standard contract.
With Javonte Green agreeing to a buyout to join a contender (ESPN’s Shams Charania reports he’s headed to Cleveland after clearing waivers), the Pelicans have an open standard contract slot. That will be filled by Boston, a two-way contract player who performed well earlier this season when New Orleans was down multiple rotation players. With the Pelicans nowhere near the postseason places, Boston won’t lack opportunities to provide deep-league fantasy value.
  • FA Shooting Guard #4
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Javonte Green has agreed to a buyout with the Pelicans and intends to sign with the Cavaliers after clearing waivers.
Green appeared in 50 games for the Pelicans this season, making 18 starts. While his exit won’t significantly impact fantasy basketball, it frees up minutes for players like Brandon Boston Jr. and Antonio Reeves once the Pelicans decide to focus more on their draft lottery odds. As for Green’s fit in Cleveland (if he clears waivers), he gives the Cavaliers another athletic wing defender, which will be critical due to the need to deal with Boston and New York in the East.
  • UTA Shooting Guard #44
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Jazz signed Jaden Springer to a 10-day contract.
Springer, who was waived by the Rockets on February 6 after being traded to Houston, will get another opportunity to prove himself as a pro with the Jazz. However, his fantasy value will be limited as long as Isaiah Collier and Keyonte George are healthy enough to play.
  • PHX Shooting Guard #3
Bradley Beal (toe) and Grayson Allen (knee) are available for Thursday’s game against the Spurs.
Beal missed Phoenix’s last four games before the All-Star break with a sore toe on his left foot, while Allen sat out two of the final three with a sore knee. Their returns will help strengthen the Suns’ bench, with rookie Ryan Dunn likely seeing his playing time decrease.
