Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished Sunday’s 118-108 win over Portland with 35 points (12-of-25 FGs, 9-of-9 FTs), five rebounds, one assist, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
Thirty-point games have been close to the norm for Gilgeous-Alexander this season, which is unsurprising given how well he played last season. The Thunder point guard has scored 30 points or more in 27 of the 44 games he’s appeared in, with Sunday’s being the most recent. Regarding fantasy value in 8-cat formats this season, only Nikola Jokic and Victor Wembanyama have been better. The negative for fantasy managers is that SGA and the Thunder only play twice during Week 14.

Kris Dunn amassed 14 points (5-of-6 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, five steals, and four three-pointers in 21 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies.
Dunn was inserted into the Clippers’ starting lineup due to an apparent concern about Memphis’ ability to force turnovers. He may have used that as motivation to raise hell himself. Not only did he match his season and career highs with five steals, but Dunn was also a perfect 4-of-4 from beyond the arc. He did have to leave the game with an undisclosed injury, but Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said after the game that he expects Dunn to be available for Thursday’s game against the Jazz. Derrick Jones Jr., who moved to the bench, played 21 minutes and finished with nine points, two rebounds, one steal, and one three-pointer.
  • LAC Center #40
Ivica Zubac shot 5-of-7 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies, scoring 12 points with 13 rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one blocked shot in 33 minutes.
Zubac has reached double figures in four straight and eight of his last nine appearances, recording seven double-doubles during this run. He and Norman Powell (18/5/2/2 with one three-pointer) have been consistently productive, which is one of the reasons why the Clippers will hold a top-6 seed in the West heading into the All-Star break. The Clippers will end their pre-break portion of the schedule with a game against the Jazz on Thursday.
  • LAC Point Guard #1
James Harden accounted for 18 points (6-of-18 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), eight rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, one block, and two three-pointers in 35 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies.
While he was responsible for five turnovers, Harden finished Wednesday’s victory with his third double-double in as many games. Over the past month, The Beard has provided first-round per-game value in eight-cat formats. And that’s with Harden shooting 39.4 percent from the field. The only fantasy managers who should be concerned are those who can’t afford to take a hit in the turnover category, as Harden has been excellent otherwise.
  • LAC Small Forward #2
Kawhi Leonard played 34 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies, finishing with 25 points (9-of-19 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two three-pointers.
Leonard’s 34 minutes established a new season high, and his 25 points were two less than his total in a January 29 win over the Spurs. Over the past three weeks, he has provided top-100 value in eight-cat formats. That isn’t the Kawhi many fantasy managers have grown accustomed to, but he’s trending in the right direction heading into the All-Star break. Leonard hasn’t missed a game since January 22, but that will change on Thursday when the Clippers visit the Jazz.
  • GSW Center #21
Quinten Post played 12 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Mavericks, accumulating five points (2-of-3 FGs), four rebounds, and one three-pointer.
Post returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday, replacing Moses Moody. However, with Dallas starting the game without a center, the 7-footer out of Boston College didn’t provide much value. Draymond Green (13/5/5/3/2) played 31 minutes, with some of that time coming at the five, and veteran Kevon Looney (4/8/2/0/1) logged 15. With Wednesday’s game being the first of a back-to-back and the Warriors visiting Houston on Thursday, that may be a better matchup for Post. If Green or Looney don’t play, the rookie will be worth streaming in Golden State’s final game before the All-Star break.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry accounted for 25 points (9-of-23 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and four three-pointers in 37 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to the Mavericks.
Curry’s streak of 30-point performances ended at four on Wednesday, and he shot below 50 percent from the field for the first time in three games. Over the past two weeks, he’s provided third-round value in eight-cat formats. The lone concern for fantasy managers in the short term is Curry’s availability for Thursday’s game against the Rockets, as it’s the final game before the All-Star break. Wednesday’s game had a late tip time, so Curry should be considered questionable for Thursday night.
  • GSW Small Forward #10
Jimmy Butler finished Wednesday’s loss to the Mavericks with 21 points (8-of-17 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, seven assists, and one blocked shot in 35 minutes.
Give the shorthanded Mavericks credit for doing a better job defending Butler without fouling than either of the teams he faced in his first two games as a Warrior. After attempting 28 free throws in wins over the Bulls and Bucks, Butler only attempted six on Wednesday. The overall stat line was good, so there isn’t much for fantasy managers to complain about. Butler has looked like a good fit, offering the dimension Golden State’s offense sorely lacked before his arrival. With Golden State visiting Houston on Thursday, Butler should be considered questionable.
  • DAL Shooting Guard #00
Max Christie had 17 points (6-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal and one 3-pointer against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Christie had his first start since coming over from the Lakers and had another good game. The 22-year-old shooting guard moved into the starting lineup with Dallas dealing with a few injuries. Still, Christie has played at least 30 minutes in all five games with the Mavs. He’s scored at least 15 points in all five games, hit at least three 3-pointers in three games and recorded at least one steal or block in five games. Add it all up and Christie should be rostered in all leagues going forward as he appears to have a solid role with Dallas.
  • DAL Shooting Guard #31
Klay Thompson had 17 points (6-of-19 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and five 3-pointers against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Thompson has now had five 3-pointers in back-to-back games and at least three 3-pointers in four of his last five games. Still, it’s not translating into many 20-point games as he’s scored at least 20 points just once in his last five games. While the Mavericks figure to count on Klay more in the aftermath of the Luka Doncic trade, the Anthony Davis injury will make it more difficult for Thompson to get open shots. Ultimately, he’s still a little too inconsistent for his role to be trusted in fantasy. There are other players who mostly provide points and threes that are better at it.
  • DAL Point Guard #11
Kyrie Irving had 42 points (15-of-25 FGs), seven rebounds, one steal and seven 3-pointers in the Mavericks’ 111-107 victory over the Warriors on Wednesday.
Irving has now scored at least 30 points in three of his last five games. The 32-year-old point guard is going to see heavy usage over the course of the rest of the season. The Mavericks are in a dire situation without Luka Doncic and with Anthony Davis out indefinitely. Relying heavily on Irving is their only path forward and his fantasy managers stand to benefit the most, though there will be some bumps in the road as defenses will begin to key on Kyrie.
