Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (right wrist soreness) is available for Sunday’s game against the Nets.
Gilgeous-Alexander missed Friday’s game against the Mavericks with a wrist injury. His return will push Aaron Wiggins back to the bench. The 26-year-old point guard should be in all fantasy lineups, though the game against the Nets could get out of hand and the Thunder would have no reason to push SGA in this one.

The Hornets have been in talks with the NBA to explore options to dispute the Lakers’ decision to rescind last week’s trade involving Mark Williams.
Just before Thursday’s trade deadline, the Hornets agreed to send Williams to Los Angeles in exchange for Dalton Knecht, Cam Reddish, the right to swap 2030 first-round picks, and the Lakers’ unprotected 2031 first-round pick. However, Williams failed his physical, and with that occurring after the deadline, there were only two options: stick with the trade or rescind it. The Lakers chose the latter option on Saturday. One day after issuing a press release in which they welcomed Williams back to Charlotte, the team is now exploring its options concerning disputing the Lakers’ decision. Williams was not with the team for Monday’s game against the Nets (Knecht was with the Lakers, while Reddish remains out for personal reasons). Stay tuned.
  • UTA Center #24
Walker Kessler produced a line of 13 points (5-of-7 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), 12 rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot in 34 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Lakers.
Having already recorded three times as many double-doubles as he had the entire 2023-24 season (seven), Kessler finished Monday’s defeat with his 22nd. The third-year center has been available for six of Utah’s last seven games, but the Jazz have not hesitated to sit Kessler, Lauri Markkanen, or John Collins due to injury or rest. That’s something to be mindful of after the All-Star break, as the Jazz are headed toward the draft lottery. Kyle Filipowski (nine points, one rebound, two steals, and two 3-pointers in 10 minutes) will benefit in cases where Kessler does not play.
  • DEN Shooting Guard #24
Jalen Pickett provided a boost off the bench with 14 points (6-of-10 FGs), three rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one 3-pointer on Monday and the Trail Blazers.
Pickett has seen an uptick in minutes with Russell Westbrook sidelined, and it finally resulted in a productive night in the box score for him on Monday. Pickett started the game off well and dished out five assists in the first quarter. The 2023 second-round pick set new career-highs for points, assists and steals and was instrumental in helping Denver get the victory. Unfortunately, Pickett’s role has been too inconsistent to consider rostering him at this point.
  • UTA Power Forward #20
John Collins accumulated 17 points (5-of-10 FGs, 6-of-7 FTs), 11 rebounds, two steals, one block, and one three-pointer in 36 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Lakers.
After sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Clippers, Collins returned to the lineup on Monday. He recorded his 11th double-double of the season, and JC has been one of the unsung heroes of fantasy basketball thus far. However, the days off are a concern, especially for a player whose team is more invested in developing its young players and improving the franchise’s draft lottery odds. Like Lauri Markkanen, Collins is a player who some managers should strongly consider “selling” because of availability concerns.
  • UTA Power Forward #23
Lauri Markkanen finished Monday’s loss to the Lakers with 17 points (8-of-18 FGs), three rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 29 minutes.
Markkanen returned to the Jazz lineup after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Clippers due to lower back injury management. He’s missed three of Utah’s last eight games, and the Jazz haven’t needed the excuse of a back-to-back to hold him out. That’s the issue for managers who have Markkanen rostered; there’s no guarantee he’ll always be available when the fantasy playoffs roll around. Those who have him rostered should consider making a trade before their league’s deadline.
  • DEN Shooting Guard #0
Christian Braun lit up the Trail Blazers with 26 points (12-of-14 FGs), six rebounds, two assists and one block on Monday.
Braun’s efficiency has set him apart from other guards this season, and this game was a perfect example. He missed just two of his 14 shot attempts, though 13 of his shots came from inside the paint. Braun plays incredibly well within the offense, which is shown by the fact that only three of his makes were unassisted. Braun is a perfect fit next to Nikola Jokic, and the results have been excellent for fantasy managers. Denver will host Portland once again on Wednesday in their final game before the All-Star break.
  • DEN Center #15
Nikola Jokic stuffed the stat sheet on Monday with 40 points (15-of-22 FGs), seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals, one block, two 3-pointers and five turnovers in a 146-117 win over the Trail Blazers.
Per usual, Jokic dominated this game in a way that turned out really well for fantasy managers. This was only the seventh time this season that Jokic didn’t at least record a double-double, but he made up for it with an uber-efficient 40-point performance. Jokic has shot at least 60 percent from the floor in three straight games and in 11 of his last 14 games. Denver’s final game before the All-Star break will be a rematch with Portland on Wednesday, and managers should expect another dominant performance from Jokic..
  • POR Center #23
Donovan Clingan provided a boost off the bench with 21 points (8-of-8 FGs), seven rebounds, one block and one 3-pointer in a 146-117 loss to the Nuggets on Monday.
Clingan was impressive in his 21 minutes, scoring 21 points without missing a shot. However, he may be asked to keep this up moving forward. Deandre Ayton (calf) exited early from this game, and while there hasn’t been an official diagnosis yet, it was a non-contact injury that resulted in Ayton being helped to the locker room. It would be surprising if Ayton played on Wednesday, and there is a real chance that he misses more than just one game. Clingan would likely be the one that moves into the starting unit in that scenario.
  • LAL Point Guard #30
Jordan Goodwin tallied 17 points (8-of-11 FGs), eight rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes in Monday’s win over the Jazz.
Signed to a 10-day contract on Friday, Goodwin has made a positive impression in his first two games as a Laker. He’s provided solid value in the points, rebounds, and steals categories, but that isn’t enough to make Goodwin a player worth rostering. With Dalton Knecht expected to be available for Wednesday’s game against the Jazz, Goodwin may not have as many minutes available to him moving forward.
  • POR Point Guard #5
Dalano Banton led the Trail Blazers with 22 points (6-of-16 FGs), one rebound, six assists, one block and three 3-pointer on Monday against the Nuggets.
Banton hasn’t been a large part of Portland’s rotation recently, but he took advantage of the opportunity on Monday. His 28 minutes played were a new season-high, and Banton had his first 20-point game in almost a month. Banton has been productive when given the chance this season, but with Anfernee Simons and Scoot Henderson in front of him, he hasn’t had a consistent role recently. Henderson (ankle) exited early, and if he remains out on Wednesday, Banton could see extra minutes once again.
