Brandon Ingram (left ankle injury) will not return to Saturday’s game against the Thunder.
Ingram injured his ankle when he landed on Luguentz Dort’s foot after attempting a jumper early in the third quarter. Not only did he require help getting to the locker room, but Ingram could not put any weight on his leg most of the way there. Trey Murphy replaced him in the lineup and will have added fantasy value if Ingram misses time.
  • SAS Small Forward #55

Spurs re-signed Harrison Ingram and Riley Minix to two-way contracts.
Both players will spend another year on a two-way contract. Ingram made five appearances in the NBA last season, while Minix only played in one game. Both 2024 second-round picks will likely spend most of next season in the G League once again.
Eye Bucks' win total, fade Eastern Conference odds
Anticipating Giannis Antetokounmpo to remain in Milwaukee for at least the 2025-26 season, Jay Croucher and Drew Dinsick unpack Bucks futures to target or fade, highlighting several issues that dim their betting outlook.
  • IND Small Forward #00
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said Bennedict Mathurin will start next season.
This isn’t a surprising update, but the confidence from Carlisle to announce this nearly three months before the start of the regular season is a good thing to see. Mathurin averaged 16.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 49 starts last season, and with Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles) expected to miss all of next season, Mathurin will certainly be one of the leading scorers for Indiana, which bodes well for his fantasy upside.
  • BOS Power Forward #25
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Chris Boucher has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million deal with the Celtics.
The eight-year vet and two-time champ spent the last seven years with the Raptors, departing as the franchise’s all-time leader in points, rebounds, blocks, games and minutes off the bench. With Al Horford unsigned, Boston’s frontcourt rotation currently includes Neemias Queta, Xavier Tillman and Luka Garza. Shams reports that Boucher is expected to play a significant role for his new team, and given the state of the depth chart, that’s not hard to believe. As a stretch big who can block shots and hit triples, Boucher is a worthwhile dart throw in the later rounds of 2025-26 fantasy drafts.
  • BOS Small Forward
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that RJ Luis Jr. has been traded to the Celtics for Georges Niang and two second-round picks.
The Big East Player of the Year was electric at St. John’s last season, and he’ll look to keep the momentum going at the next level. Luis Jr.'s fantasy outlook actually improves with this move, as Boston is woefully thin at multiple positions. He has a chance to earn rotational minutes in his inaugural campaign.
  • UTA Small Forward #20
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Georges Niang has been traded to the Jazz for rookie RJ Luis Jr.
The deal also sends two second-round picks from Boston to Utah as part of the deal. Moving Niang is just a financial move for the Celtics, but his departure thins out Boston’s rotation even further. Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman could see more playing time for the depleted Celtics. Niang’s role in Utah is more difficult to forecast, as the Jazz are already deep in the frontcourt.
  • FA Small Forward #4
    Wizards waived Jaylen Martin.
Martin appeared in 16 games between Brooklyn and Washington last season, with the Wizards signing him to a two-way deal just after the February trade deadline. In 13 appearances for Washington, the 6-foot-6 wing averaged 5.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.7 steals in 18.0 minutes. With their decision to waive Martin, the Wizards have freed up a two-way contract slot. Tristan Vukcevic and second-round pick Jamir Watkins are currently on two-way deals.
  • BOS Center #88
Neemias Queta told CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning that he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in May.
In a development that did not make headlines following the end of the Celtics’ season, Queta underwent surgery to address issues with his left knee that had been present for a few years. Cleared to return to the court in July, the Celtics’ reserve center is preparing to play for Portugal at EuroBasket next month. While Queta’s role was not consistent enough to make him a viable fantasy option last season, more opportunities will be available in 2025-26. Boston’s frontcourt rotation took significant hits this summer, with Kristaps Porzingis being traded to Atlanta, Luke Kornet signing with San Antonio in free agency, and Al Horford expected to sign with the Warriors after Golden State addresses Jonathan Kuminga’s restricted free agency.
  • SAS Point Guard #4
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Spurs and De’Aaron Fox have agreed to a four-year extension worth $229 million.
According to Monday’s report, Fox, who was traded from Sacramento to San Antonio just before the February deadline, has secured his future with the Spurs. He appeared in 17 games for the Spurs before being shut down in mid-March to undergo pinkie surgery, averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 three-pointers in 34.0 minutes. It’s worth noting that Fox recorded those numbers alongside fellow point guard Chris Paul, who is now with the Clippers, and Victor Wembanyama only played five games before being shut down after the All-Star break with a blood clot in his shoulder. Fantasy managers hoping to derive some value from selecting lottery pick Dylan Harper in drafts may be in a difficult spot, however, as the Spurs’ perimeter rotation includes Fox, Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle, and veterans Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson, to name four expected contributors.
  • FA Shooting Guard #11
Fenerbahçe announced on Monday that Brandon Boston Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal.
Boston, the 51st overall pick in the 2021 draft, played his first three NBA seasons with the Clippers before joining the Pelicans on a two-way deal last October. Converted to a standard deal in February due to the Pelicans’ many injuries, Boston appeared in 42 games last season, averaging 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 23.6 minutes. He underwent left ankle surgery in late April but will be ready when Fenerbahçe begins its season.
  • FA Point Guard #11
NBA insider Marc Stein reports Jeff Dowtin Jr. has agreed to a two-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The 2024-25 season was Dowtin’s best from a productivity standpoint, as he appeared in 41 games with the 76ers as a two-way player. In those outings, the veteran guard averaged 7.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.7 three-pointers in 15.1 minutes. Moving overseas will allow Dowtin to run a team without being tethered to a two-way contract.
