Jonathan Kuminga will be the Warriors’ starting power forward moving forward, with Draymond Green moving to the bench.
Kuminga has been in a reserve role for most of the year, but he has started three of their last four games, which included a 33-point outing against Houston. Now, he’s earned a permanent starting spot, though Draymond Green will likely still be part of the closing unit. In their last game, Kuminga played 29 minutes, while Green played 26, so there will still be plenty of time for both players to make an impact on the game. Steve Kerr is constantly changing his lineups, so even if they’re saying this is a passing of the torch moment, it could easily change within a few weeks.
