Zach Edey (left ankle sprain) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Edey has been out for nearly two weeks, and there’s hope he’ll be available soon. Sunday will not be the day, with the Grizzlies announcing that he’s out. Brandon Clarke’s role as starting center should remain the same even after Edey returns.

Alperen Sengun finished Thursday’s loss to the Warriors with 16 points (7-of-15 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 29 minutes.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #4
Jalen Green shot 4-of-16 from the field and 6-of-7 from the foul line in Thursday’s loss to Golden State, finishing Thursday’s loss to the Warriors with 14 points, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals in 36 minutes.
One game removed from scoring 28 points on 9-of-14 shooting, Green’s production dipped considerably on Thursday. For the third time this season, he shot 25% or worse from the field in a game, with Thursday’s effort being the first since November 23 against Portland (3-of-14). A 39.6% shooter for the season, Green is ranked well outside the top 100 in 9-cat formats. However, he’s a 7th-round player in FG%-punt builds.
  • HOU Point Guard #5
Fred VanVleet recorded a stat line of 13 points (5-of-16 FGs), four rebounds, five assists, one steal, two blocks, and three 3-pointers in 37 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Warriors.
Houston’s starting backcourt had a rough night in San Francisco, as VanVleet and Jalen Green shot a combined 9-of-32 from the field. FVV shooting poorly from the field is no surprise; he’s making 39.1% of his attempts for the season. However, he’s shot 36.8% over the past two weeks. That’s the biggest reason he’s an 8th-round player during this period, three rounds lower than his season-long value.
  • HOU Shooting Guard #9
Dillon Brooks accumulated 15 points (6-of-13 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes in Thursday’s 99-93 loss to Golden State.
Brooks struggled with foul trouble during the first half of Thursday’s game but still scored 10 points before halftime. He was quieter in the second half, and the overall stat line was a reminder of why he’s ranked outside the top 200 in 9-cat formats. Rostered in 12% of Yahoo leagues, Brooks is more important to the Rockets than to fantasy managers.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #7
Buddy Hield shot 1-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Thursday’s win over the Rockets, scoring five points with five rebounds, two assists, and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes.
Stephen Curry’s absence meant a move into the starting lineup for Hield. Unfortunately, he did not take advantage of the opportunity, shooting 1-of-8 from the field (1-of-6 from three) and offering minimal value in the other categories. With Curry expected to return for Friday’s game against Minnesota, Hield’s appearance in the starting lineup will likely be an unsuccessful cameo.
  • GSW Small Forward #22
Andrew Wiggins amassed 22 points (8-of-15 FGs, 3-of-6 FTs), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Thursday’s win over the Rockets.
Thursday’s game wasn’t the first time Wiggins cracked double figures in shot attempts, but the absences of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green gave him room to be more aggressive as a playmaker. He took advantage, with the 22 points being the most he’s scored in a game since November 22 (30 vs. New Orleans). Playing against one of the league’s best defenses, Wiggins was productive, a positive development for the Warriors and fantasy managers who have him rostered.
  • GSW Power Forward #00
Jonathan Kuminga shot 13-of-22 from the field and 4-of-6 from the foul line in Thursday’s 99-93 win over Houston, tallying 33 points, six rebounds, two assists, one block, and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
With Stephen Curry and Draymond Green sidelined, the Warriors needed Kuminga to step up and be a force on both ends. He answered the call and finished Thursday’s win with the best offensive night of his career. Not only did Kuminga establish a new career-high with 33 points, this was also his second 30-point game. Curry’s expected to return on Friday, and there’s a chance Green will as well. Regardless of their statuses, the Warriors need a consistently productive Kuminga to be a contender in the West.
  • SAS Small Forward #0
Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 28 points (11-of-17 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), five rebounds, one steal and one triple in a 139-124 loss to Chicago on Thursday.
Johnson isn’t a great 9-cat player, but he has generally been valuable in points leagues because he can pour in the buckets. However, he hasn’t been able to do that over their last few games. That was before this one, of course. With Victor Wembanyama sidelined, Johnson stepped up and set a new season-high for scoring in the loss. He’s more than capable of producing to this level, but he hasn’t been able to do it consistently this season. He’ll look to stay hot against the Kings on the second night of a back-to-back on Friday.
  • SAS Shooting Guard #24
Devin Vassell provided a boost off the bench with 17 points (6-of-15 FGs), three rebounds, two assists, four steals and one triple against Chicago on Thursday.
Vassell continues to come off the bench for the Spurs, but that hasn’t limited him in the box score. When he is on the floor, he is a priority on offense, which has allowed him to provide plenty of points and 3-pointers. The steals have generally been there for him throughout his career, and that has continued this season, though he set a new season-high in this game. It’s unclear when Vassell will make a move back to the starting lineup, but his value will only rise. If there is a buy low period, now is the time.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #8
Zach LaVine posted a full line on Thursday with 11 points (4-of-11 FGs), nine rebounds, nine assists and two 3-pointers against the Spurs.
LaVine is in the midst of one of the best shooting seasons of his career, but he wasn’t able to keep that going in Thursday’s win. However, while his teammate Ayo Dosunmu was able to record the first triple-double of his career, LaVine came close to joining him. LaVine has never recorded a triple-double, which would have made both of them achieving the feat for the first time in the same game incredible. Still, it was encouraging to see LaVine make an impact despite his shot not falling.
