Rotoworld

  • MEM Center #14

Zach Edey (left ankle sprain) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Edey has been out for nearly two weeks, and there’s hope he’ll be available soon. Sunday will not be the day, with the Grizzlies announcing that he’s out. Brandon Clarke’s role as starting center should remain the same even after Edey returns.
  • SAS Power Forward #23
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Chris Paul, Stephon Castle, Julian Champagnie, Harrison Barnes, and Zach Collins will start Friday’s game against the Kings.
The Spurs are again without Victor Wembanyama, who has been ruled out due to a back injury. However, they aren’t going small as they did in Thursday’s loss to the Bulls. Collins will start, with Jeremy Sochan heading to the bench. Despite the demotion, Sochan is worth rostering, while Collins has streaming value as a starter.
  • CHI Center #9
Nikola Vucevic (low back soreness) is available for Friday’s game against the Pacers.
Vucevic is officially available for Friday’s game, meaning Coby White’s return will be the lone change to the starting lineup. His return means Julian Phillips heads to the bench. Josh Giddey, Ayo Dosunmu, and Zach LaVine join White and Vucevic in the starting lineup.
  • IND Point Guard #2
Andrew Nembhard (left knee injury management) is available for Friday’s game against the Bulls.
Nembhard is good to go for Friday’s game, meaning Quenton Jackson heads to the bench. Nembhard joins Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, Pascal Siakam, and Myles Turner in the Pacers’ starting lineup.
  • BOS Center #42
Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Al Horford will start Friday’s game against the Bucks.
Boston will begin Friday’s game with four-fifths of its preferred starting lineup, with Kristaps Porzingis being the lone absentee. Horford will get the start, and the two Celtics bigs are likely to switch roles for Saturday’s game against the Grizzlies.
  • LAL Point Guard #7
Gabe Vincent, Dalton Knecht, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis will start Friday’s game against the Hawks.
The Lakers are still without Austin Reaves, but Vincent will replace him in the starting lineup after D’Angelo Russell did the two games before. While this raises Vincent’s fantasy ceiling, he remains a deep-league option.
  • SAS Power Forward #1
Victor Wembanyama (low back soreness) is out for Friday’s game against the Kings.
Wembanyama will miss a second straight game with a back injury. Jeremy Sochan was his replacement in the starting lineup on Thursday and should remain in that role. Zach Collins and Keldon Johnson will play more minutes off the bench, but Sochan is the player fantasy managers need to target.
  • IND Point Guard #2
Andrew Nembhard (left knee injury management) is expected to play against the Bulls on Friday.
Nembhard is on track to return after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Nets. This would push Quenton Jackson to the bench, with Johnny Furphy also seeing his minutes decrease. Neither Jackson nor Furphy needs to be rostered in most redraft leagues.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #9
Bronny James (left heel contusion) is out for Friday’s game against the Hawks.
Bronny remains sidelined for another game, and his availability does not impact fantasy basketball. He’s unlikely to be in the rotation once deemed healthy enough to play.
  • CHI Power Forward #44
Patrick Williams (left foot injury management) is not expected to be available for Sunday’s game against Philadelphia.
Williams will miss a ninth straight game on Friday night when the Bulls take on the Pacers, and he is expected to be unavailable for Sunday, either. The plan is to take advantage of the four-day break the Bulls have after Sunday to ramp up Williams’ recovery in practice, including some 5-on-5 scrimmaging. At a minimum, Ayo Dosunmu should be rostered until Williams returns.
  • LAL Power Forward #3
Anthony Davis (left plantar fasciitis) is available for Friday’s game against Atlanta.
As expected, Davis is available to play in Atlanta. Look for him to take on his usual workload, especially with the Lakers looking to rebound from an embarrassing 41-point defeat in Miami on Wednesday.
