Zach Edey (left ankle sprain) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Edey has been out for nearly two weeks, and there’s hope he’ll be available soon. Sunday will not be the day, with the Grizzlies announcing that he’s out. Brandon Clarke’s role as starting center should remain the same even after Edey returns.
  • POR Shooting Guard #1

Anfernee Simons accumulated 14 points (5-of-13 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), one rebound, four assists, one block, and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Lakers.
Ranked well outside the top 100 in 8- and 9-cat value for the season, Simons has been a 10th-round player in both formats over the past two weeks. His status as a starter is why the Blazers’ point guard remains rostered in 89% of Yahoo leagues. Some managers may be willing to entertain the possibility of buying low on Simons, but that feels like a waste of trade capital with the Blazers in the midst of a rebuild.
  • POR Point Guard #00
Scoot Henderson (left quad contusion) tallied 13 points (3-of-6 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), two rebounds, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 21 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Lakers.
Henderson has appeared on only two of Portland’s last nine games, so the limited workload on Sunday should not be a surprise. For the season, he’s ranked just inside the top 200 in 9-cat formats, which isn’t good enough to merit consideration in standard leagues. Henderson’s current rostered percentage (20%) is unlikely to increase as long as starter Anfernee Simons is healthy.
  • UTA Point Guard #3
Keyonte George had 25 points (8-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, six assists, four steals and three 3-pointers against the Kings on Sunday.
George had 25 points, four steals and three 3-pointers, which were all positives. He still turned the ball over four times in 34 minutes and has struggled with efficiency this year. George will continue to start on the 5-18 Jazz and he can score, but he isn’t consistent enough to trust in most leagues.
  • POR Shooting Guard #17
Shaedon Sharpe played 34 minutes in Sunday’s 107-98 loss to the Lakers, accounting for 19 points (7-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists, and two 3-pointers.
Rostered in 37% of Yahoo leagues, Sharpe is ranked just outside the top 200 in 9-cat formats over the past two weeks. Portland’s lack of shooting guards is likely what keeps Sharpe as highly rostered as he is since he’s essentially guaranteed to play starters’ minutes. Unfortunately for fantasy managers, his elite athleticism has not translated to the defensive end, where Sharpe provides little steals or blocks value.
  • POR Center #2
Deandre Ayton amassed 14 points (7-of-14 FGs), 19 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one blocked shot in 35 minutes in Sunday’s 107-98 loss to the Lakers.
After being benched for most of the second half of Friday’s embarrassing loss to the Jazz, Ayton appeared to be more invested mentally. Anthony Davis may have outplayed him (which is the case for most bigs in the NBA), but Ayton grabbed a season-high 19 rebounds and recorded a double-double. Portland is one of the teams that will play two more games before the conclusion of the extended Week 7 (Yahoo leagues), which will begin with the Suns on Friday.
  • SAC Power Forward #11
Domantas Sabonis had 19 points (8-of-13 FGs), 12 rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block and two 3-pointers against the Jazz on Sunday.
Sabonis only played 28 minutes in the blowout victory. He was still just four assists shy of a triple-double and chipped in with one steal, one block and two 3-pointers. It was a pretty good game for the 28-year-old power forward, who continues to provide first round fantasy value.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #12
Max Christie shot 1-of-6 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Sunday’s win over Portland, tallying four points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes.
On Sunday, the Lakers were without Austin Reaves and LeBron James, with Christie stepping in for the latter. Unfortunately, he did not provide much value, which can also be said for Gabe Vincent (three points, one rebound, three steals, and one 3-pointer in 25 minutes). With the Lakers off until Friday, the few managers who streamed Christie or Vincent can afford to move on.
  • SAC Shooting Guard #9
Kevin Huerter had 26 points (10-of-14 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and six 3-pointers in the Kings’ 141-97 victory over the Jazz.
While it’s difficult to draw conclusions about the Kings’ bench rotation in a nearly 45-point blowout, there’s no question that Huerter lit it up while he was on the floor. He had 26 points and six 3-pointers in 22 minutes and was a team-high +35 in the win. The 26 points were a season-high and he hasn’t played at least 30 minutes in his last seven games, but he might still be worth holding onto to see if this effort earns him some more playing time.
  • LAL Small Forward #28
Rui Hachimura accounted for 23 points (9-of-13 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, four steals, one block, and three 3-pointers in 39 minutes in Sunday’s win over Portland.
Hachimura was one of three Lakers who scored at least 23 points on Sunday, with Anthony Davis (30) and D’Angelo Russell (28) being the others. Despite the limited scoring output, Rui has been a top-75 player over the past two weeks in 8-cat formats and a top-50 player in 9-cat. He’s been a solid fantasy option throughout the season but remains rostered in 49% of Yahoo leagues. That percentage should increase ahead of Friday’s game in Minnesota, even if LeBron James (foot) and Austin Reaves (pelvis) are healthy enough to play.
  • LAC Center #40
Ivica Zubac had 21 points (9-of-15 FGs), 12 rebounds, one assist and two blocks against the Rockets on Sunday.
Zubac had his typical game. He had the run of things down low and scored 21 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. With James Harden out, though, it wasn’t enough to pull out a win against the Rockets. Zubac is still having a great year for fantasy managers. He’ll be back on the court for the Clippers on Friday against the Nuggets.
