Rotoworld

  • MEM Center #14

Zach Edey (left ankle sprain) is out for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Edey has been out for nearly two weeks, and there’s hope he’ll be available soon. Sunday will not be the day, with the Grizzlies announcing that he’s out. Brandon Clarke’s role as starting center should remain the same even after Edey returns.
  • MIN Power Forward #30
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
Julius Randle shot 4-of-15 from the field and 4-of-4 from the foul line in Sunday’s loss to Golden State, scoring 14 points with 11 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
  • MIN Shooting Guard #9
Nickeil Alexander-Walker accounted for 19 points (7-of-9 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), one rebound, one assist, one blocked shot, and four 3-pointers in 24 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Warriors.
  • MIN Shooting Guard #5
Anthony Edwards finished Sunday’s 114-106 loss to the Warriors with 27 points (10-of-19 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, six assists, one steal, and five 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
  • GSW Power Forward #23
Draymond Green played 30 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Timberwolves, producing six points (3-of-5 FGs), six rebounds, seven assists, and one blocked shot.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #7
Buddy Hield accumulated 27 points (10-of-18 FGs), four rebounds, two assists, three steals, and seven 3-pointers in 34 minutes in Sunday’s win over Minnesota.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #0
Gary Payton II produced a line of eight points (4-of-8 FGs, 0-of-1 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocked shots in 27 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Timberwolves.
Payton’s value comes on the defensive end of the floor, and he provided two steals and two blocked shots in his start on Sunday. That isn’t enough to make him a player worth adding in most fantasy leagues, but GPII will be worth tracking if he remains in the starting lineup. Brandin Podziemski was moved to the bench and didn’t do much in his 20 minutes, finishing with six points, three rebounds, three assists, and two 3-pointers. If Kerr sticks with this lineup, Podziemski will be a “drop” in your shallower formats.
  • GSW Power Forward #00
Jonathan Kuminga amassed 20 points (7-of-16 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals, three blocks, and one 3-pointer in 36 minutes in Sunday’s win over Minnesota.
Having struggled in Friday’s loss to Minnesota, Kuminga was much better in Sunday’s rematch. He’s scored 20 points or more in two of his three starts since Steve Kerr changed the lineup, and Kuminga will remain a starter for the foreseeable future. A 12th-round player over the past week, JK will be a more valuable option in fantasy leagues with the lineup change.
  • GSW Point Guard #30
Stephen Curry accounted for 30 points (8-of-18 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), four rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and five 3-pointers in 34 minutes in Sunday’s 114-106 win over Minnesota.
The 30 points are the most Curry has scored in a game since November 12, when he dropped 37 in an NBA Cup win over the Mavericks. The downtick in scoring has impacted Curry’s value, with the Warriors guard ranked just outside the top 50 in 9-cat formats over the past two weeks. However, he remains a 1st-round player regarding season-long value, so there isn’t anything for fantasy managers to worry about. Golden State visits Houston on Tuesday in an NBA Cup quarterfinal matchup, with the winner headed to Las Vegas for Saturday’s semifinals.
  • WAS Power Forward #35
Marvin Bagley III had 20 points (9-of-15 FGs), seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
Bagley III continues to get an opportunity with some of the other Washington big men missing games. He’s made the most of it lately with at least 16 points and at least seven rebounds in his last two games. Bagley III has established himself as a worthwhile streamer while the Wizards are missing some of their big man rotation.
  • WAS Center #17
Jonas Valanciunas had 20 points (8-of-17 FGs), 14 rebounds, two assists and one block against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
Valanciunas continues to play well as he’s had 20 points in back-to-back games and recorded a double-double in three of his last four games. He’s shown enough recently that he should be rostered in all formats going forward. Washington next plays against the Cavaliers on Friday.
