Nic Claxton (lower back strain) and Dorian Finney-Smith (left ankle sprain) are available for Friday’s game against Philadelphia.
Claxton and Finney-Smith were initially probable for Friday’s game, so the status upgrades were expected. While the latter has not missed any time, Claxton is back after a three-game absence. When dealing with a hamstring injury, Brooklyn brought him off the bench, so that may be the strategy taken on Friday. If so, Ben Simmons will remain in the starting lineup but is only worth the risk in deep leagues.

Peyton Watson (ankle) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
With Watson unavailable for Friday’s win over the Bucks, Spencer Jones moved into the starting lineup. Since Denver won’t have Aaron Gordon on Tuesday, Jones may remain with the starters, pushing Zeke Nnaji to the bench if Jonas Valančiūnas plays.
Why Giannis, Bucks parting ways 'makes sense'
Giannis Antetokounmpo suffered an injury and announced on his own how long he will be sidelined, and Kenny Beecham explains why it "makes sense" for Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks to finally part ways.
  • Jonas Valančiūnas (calf) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
Valančiūnas did not play in Friday’s win over the Bucks, which prompted Zeke Nnaji to move into the starting lineup. With Aaron Gordon (hamstring) out, Nnaji’s playing time may remain high, but he could be asked to come off the bench.
  • DEN Guard #27
Jamal Murray (hamstring, hip) is probable for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
Murray did not play in Friday’s win over the Bucks and was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies, which was postponed due to inclement weather. His likely return would push Julian Strawther to the bench after he scored 20 points against Milwaukee.
  • DEN Forward #32
Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
Gordon strained his right hamstring during the second quarter of Friday’s win over the Bucks. This is the second time he’s injured his hamstring this season, so an extended absence may be in play. While DaRon Holmes II may pick up a few more minutes, Zeke Nnaji is the player fantasy managers should consider after he logged 37 productive minutes in Milwaukee.
  • DEN Guard #0
Christian Braun (ankle) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Pistons.
Tuesday’s game will be the tenth that Braun has missed as the team looks to get his left ankle right. With Jamal Murray (hamstring, hip) listed as probable, his return will likely push Julian Strawther to the bench. There’s no need to stream Strawther when he’s used in a reserve role.
  • WAS Forward #00
Tristan Vukčević (hamstring) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Tuesday’s game will be the sixth that Vukčević has missed due to a strained left hamstring. While his absence does not affect fantasy basketball, it does leave the Wizards down two bigs since Marvin Bagley III (back) is also out. Anthony Gill played seven minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Hornets. He is not worth streaming.
  • WAS Forward #22
Khris Middleton (foot) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Middleton sat out Saturday’s loss to the Hornets with a sore left foot, with rookie Will Riley playing 23 minutes as his replacement in the starting lineup. While Riley should have value during the silly season, Justin Champagnie is the preferred streamer if Middleton remains out. Despite coming off the bench, Champagnie logged 32 minutes on Saturday.
  • WAS Guard #0
Bilal Coulibaly (back) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Coulibaly has missed Washington’s last five games with a lower back strain, resulting in Bub Carrington moving into the starting lineup. While he may be pushed back to the bench if Coulibaly returns on Tuesday, Carrington will still play plenty.
  • WAS Forward #35
Marvin Bagley III (back) is out for Tuesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Tuesday’s game is the third straight that Bagley has missed, with the last two being due to a strained lower back. With Tristan Vukčević (hamstring) also out, Anthony Gill may pick up a few rotation minutes off the bench. He is not worth streaming.
  • UTA Forward-Center #23
Lauri Markkanen (conditioning) practiced on Monday and is expected to play in Tuesday’s game against the Clippers.
Markkanen has missed seven straight and eight of Utah’s last nine games due to illness and to get his conditioning up to par. His return will likely push Svi Mykhailiuk out of the starting lineup and possibly out of the rotation entirely. Svi should not be rostered in most redraft leagues.
