  • CHA Center #5

Mark Williams (left foot injury) and Nick Richards (right rib fracture) have returned to team and group activities but are still without a timeline.
Sure, both centers are back with the team. There was no update indicating that they weren’t with the team, but they’re now back with the team. There is also still nothing indicating when they’ll be back in the lineup. The expectations for Charlotte to communicate injuries are low, so this is, once again, not really an update. Grant Williams and Moussa Diabate are still the center options until the other two return, whenever that may be.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #14

Blake Wesley has been traded to the Wizards.
Wesley was drafted with the 25th pick in 2022, just a few picks after Malaki Branham. Now, both guards will get a fresh start in Washington, though there may not be many minutes for either guard.
Magic's bolstered roster could clear 51.5 wins
Vaughn Dalzell and Trysta Krick dive into the Orlando Magic's roster acquisitions and the various futures to consider, highlighted by the win total (51.5).
  • WAS Shooting Guard #22
Malaki Branham has been traded to the Wizards as part of a deal that sent Kelly Olynyk to the Spurs.
Branham was drafted with the 20th overall pick in 2022 and has spent his first few years in San Antonio. Now, he’ll get a fresh start. He averaged 10.2 points per game as a rookie, but he’s seen his role decrease in the years since. He’ll likely be a depth guard with upside in Washington.
  • SAS Center #13
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Kelly Olynyk has been traded to the Spurs in exchange for Malaki Branham, Blake Wesley and a 2026 second-round pick.
Olynyk was traded to Washington just before the draft, and now he’s headed to San Antonio, where he will play some reserve minutes behind Victor Wembanyama. He’ll split time with Luke Kornet, though he will also be able to spend time next to Kornet or Wemby in larger lineups due to his ability to space the floor. This is the third time that Olynyk has been traded since the start of this past season; he opened the year with Toronto and was sent to New Orleans during the season.
  • OKC Center #15
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Thunder are re-signing Branden Carlson on a new two-way contract.
Carlson spent most of last season with the OKC Blue, and he only appeared in 32 games for the Thunder. He will likely spend most of next year in the G League once again.
  • FA Small Forward #11
NBA Insider Jake Fischer reports Clippers have released Jordan Miller.
Fischer did note that if Miller clears waivers, the Clippers intend to keep him around the organization and have him suit up for their Summer League team. The 2023 second-round pick hasn’t gotten much of an opportunity through his first two seasons in the league, and that likely won’t change next year.
  • PHI Shooting Guard
VJ Edgecombe (thumb) has been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Tuesday.
This will be a second straight absence for Edgecombe, who also missed Monday’s game with the same thumb injury after dropping 28 points on Saturday. He’s still considered “day-to-day,” and the team previously indicated that this isn’t a severe injury. Judah Mintz should get another start.
  • DEN Center #15
The Denver Post’s Bennett Durando reports Nikola Jokic won’t sign an extension with the Nuggets this offseason.
There’s no need to panic and get out the trade machine. Delaying an extension until next summer could allow him to make roughly an extra $80 million. This isn’t Jokic giving Denver an ultimatum to put more talent around him or he’s going to ask out; it’s simply a wise financial decision.
  • BKN Shooting Guard #14
NBA Insider Marc Stein reports the Warriors have emerged as a strong contender to acquire De’Anthony Melton in free agency.
The Warriors gave Melton the full midlevel exception last offseason, but lost the 27-year-old shooting guard to a season-ending ACL injury six games into the season. Melton was traded along with three future second-round picks to the Nets for Dennis Schroder in midseason, but he could be on his way back to Golden State this offseason.
  • DAL Power Forward #3
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Anthony Davis underwent a procedure to repair a detached retina.
Davis suffered the detached retina last season, according to Charania. After undergoing the procedure, Davis is expected to be healthy for training camp. The oft-injured power forward exited the Mavericks regular season finale early with a noticeable limp. Davis is in line to be the Mavericks’ centerpiece with Kyrie Irving sidelined to begin next season.
  • PHX Small Forward #12
ESPN’s Shams Charania reports G/F Isaiah Livers has agreed to a two-way contract with the Suns.
Livers has dealt with a variety of injuries since his college days at the University of Michigan. The 26-year-old small forward missed all of last season with a hip injury that required surgery. Provided health, he’ll have the opportunity to work his way into the Suns’ rotation next year.
