Rotoworld

  • WAS Power Forward #22

Richaun Holmes (illness) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.
Holmes isn’t usually in the Wizards’ rotation, so his status will not impact fantasy basketball.
  • MIL Power Forward #34

Giannis Antetokounmpo (right patella tendinopathy) and Damian Lillard (right calf contusion) will play against Oklahoma City on Tuesday.
As expected, both of the Bucks’ stars will be available to play in this game and will likely see a large workload in the championship game of the NBA Cup. Liam Robbins, who was questionable with an ankle sprain, will also be available, but he likely won’t see the floor.
  • PHI Point Guard #20
Jared McCain underwent successful surgery to repair the meniscus tear in his left knee on Tuesday and is still considered out indefinitely.
There is no official timeline for McCain, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. There will be plenty of minutes open in his absence, which may be filled by Reggie Jackson and Eric Gordon, though neither player will impact fantasy basketball much.
  • FA Shooting Guard #3
The Hawks have waived Seth Lundy, who has been on a two-way contract.
Lundy has been sidelined for a while with an ankle injury, and the Hawks decided to open up the two-way spot. He’ll likely remain with the College Park Skyhawks and may return to his two-way spot eventually, but Atlanta will be able to add a different player on a two-way deal now.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (illness) has been downgraded to out for Tuesday’s game against the Thunder.
Middleton was downgraded to doubtful earlier in the day and now officially won’t suit up. Doc Rivers said that they are prioritizing his health for the regular season, which makes sense since this game will not count towards the standings. Expect his minutes to be divided among the typical rotation wings with big money on the line.
  • MIL Small Forward #22
Khris Middleton (illness) has been downgraded to doubtful for Tuesday’s matchup with the Thunder.
Middleton was initially listed as probable for this game, but now the expectation is that he won’t suit up for the championship game of the NBA Cup. Taurean Prince, Andre Jackson Jr., Gary Trent Jr. and AJ Green will all likely see a few extra minutes in this game with $500k on the line.
  • POR Small Forward #4
Matisse Thybulle (Grade 2 right ankle sprain) has progressed to stand still shooting but hasn’t been cleared for contact.
Thybulle has yet to play this season, since he suffered a severe ankle injury while recovering from a knee procedure that he underwent just before the regular season. It appears he still isn’t that close to returning, but that won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • POR Center #2
Deandre Ayton (illness) was able to practice on Tuesday.
Ayton has missed their last two games, but this bodes well for his chances if playing against Denver on Tuesday. Donovan Clingan started in their last game, with Robert Williams and Jabari Walker also seeing time off the bench. It is quite the logjam at center, though Walker will certainly be pushed out of the rotation if Ayton is back. The likely scenario is that Ayton returns to the starting lineup, with Clingan and Williams playing small roles off the bench.
  • LAL Power Forward #35
Christian Wood (left knee surgery) and Jaxson Hayes (right ankle contusion) have been progressing closer to a return, per head coach JJ Redick.
Wood is set to start doing live work with coaches soon, while Hayes is working on strengthening his ankle and will have a clearer update next week. While this is certainly progress, there still isn’t a firm timeline for either player. Christian Koloko will continue to be the backup center until Wood or Hayes returns.
  • GSW Small Forward #4
Moses Moody (left patellar tendinopathy) missed practice on Tuesday and is doubtful to play on Thursday against Memphis.
Moody is expected to miss a third straight game, but he played less than 10 minutes in the two games prior to this absence. Steve Kerr has no problem changing his rotation, but at this point, Moody’s status won’t impact fantasy hoops much. Gary Payton II and Lindy Waters III may see a few extra minutes.
  • WAS Power Forward #33
Kyle Kuzma (left rib sprain) was able to get some work in after practice on Tuesday as he continues the rehab process.
Kuzma has missed Washington’s last seven games with a left rib sprain, but he’s making good progress in his recovery. Encouragingly, Malcolm Brogdon, Kyshawn George and Corey Kispert were all present at Tuesday’s practice. The last-place Wizards may soon have a healthy team, but don’t Washington to rush any of its injured players back.
