Keldon Johnson finished Saturday’s loss to the Jazz with 14 points (4-of-10 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), four rebounds, five assists, two steals, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.
Johnson’s overall stat line will undoubtedly play in category leagues, as he filled the line in a one-point defeat. The problem is that nights like this have been few and far between for the Spurs forward. Johnson entered Saturday with seven steals and one blocked shot, with the November 6 loss to Houston being the only game in which he recorded at least one steal and one block. So, while Saturday’s defensive production was encouraging, fantasy managers should not expect it to become the norm.
