Darius Garland played 29 minutes in Friday’s win over Orlando, scoring 25 points (8-of-16 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs) with three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block, and three 3-pointers.
Garland has scored 23 points or more in three of his last four outings, and the Cavaliers remain undefeated. He’s looked much more comfortable than he did for most of last season; it’s fair to wonder if the front office’s work to solidify Cleveland’s “core four” this summer has positively impacted Garland. He’s been efficient as a scorer and playmaker, providing top-20 per-game value through six games.
  • MIN Shooting Guard #5

Anthony Edwards had 24 points (10-of-25 FGs), four rebounds, four assists and four steals against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
Edwards was hardly efficient scoring 24 points on 25 shots. He missed all nine of his 3-point attempts. Edwards had three turnovers and was -1 in 40 minutes. He hasn’t lived up to his preseason first round ADP just yet this season. The Timberwolves have two more games this week against the Kings on Friday and Suns on Sunday.
  • POR Center #23
Donovan Clingan had 17 points (6-of-10 FGs), 12 rebounds, one assist and eight blocks against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Clingan made the most of his opportunity with Deandre Ayton and Rob Williams out. The seventh overall pick in the draft, Clingan played a career-high 31 minutes and was only two blocks shy of a triple-double. He’s a must-start fantasy option in the future when Ayton is out. It’s even possible Portland could move Ayton before the trade deadline to open up playing time for Clingan.
  • POR Shooting Guard #17
Shaedon Sharpe had 33 points (12-of-23 FGs), six rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers in the Trail Blazers’ 106-98 victory over the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Sharpe’s 33 points were a game-high. He took 23 shots, made 3-of-10 attempts from behind the 3-point line, and was -4 in 36 minutes in the eight-point victory. Sharpe took on a greater scoring role while the Trail Blazers were without Deandre Ayton and Anfernee Simons. This was a ceiling game for Sharpe, who will have a lesser role as Portland gets some of their starters back.
  • PHX Shooting Guard #2
Josh Okogie shot 10-of-15 from the field and 2-of-3 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Kings, amassing 25 points, eight rebounds, one assist, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes.
Okogie’s stat line will undoubtedly draw attention, mainly because it happened on a night when the Suns were without Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal. However, he entered Wednesday having scored 17 points in three games. Experienced fantasy managers know what they’ll get from Okogie on most nights, and that doesn’t align with what he did on Wednesday. Leave him on the waiver wire.
  • PHX Shooting Guard #1
Devin Booker finished Wednesday’s loss to the Kings with 18 points (6-of-16 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes.
Wednesday’s game was a “schedule loss” for the Suns, who played in Utah the night before. Booker didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, but fantasy managers know he’ll be better. Phoenix continues its road trip through the end of Week 4, beginning with Oklahoma City on Friday.
  • PHX Small Forward #00
Royce O’Neale played 22 minutes in Wednesday’s loss to Sacramento, accounting for five points (2-of-12 FGs), five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer.
With Bradley Beal joining Kevin Durant on the sideline, O’Neale was inserted into the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game. Things did not go how he or the Suns hoped, with the veteran wing shooting 2-of-12 from the field. O’Nelae did provide some rebounding and assist production, but the spot start churned out disappointing results.
  • PHX Center #20
Jusuf Nurkic shot 1-of-7 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s loss to the Kings, scoring three points with 11 rebounds, one assist, and three steals in 22 minutes.
Back in the lineup after sitting out Tuesday’s win over the Jazz, Nurkic didn’t provide much outside of rebounds and steals on Wednesday. Regarding fantasy value, he’s been disappointing, ranking outside the top 200 in 9-cat, per-game value. Dropping Nurkic isn’t a good idea, given his status as a starter. However, considering buying low would not be the worst thing, especially for managers needing rebound production.
  • SAC Power Forward #11
Domantas Sabonis shot 3-of-4 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over Phoenix, finishing with 11 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, one block, and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
Another game, another double-double for Sabonis. Interestingly, he only attempted four shots on the night, with three (all makes) coming from beyond the arc. Nights like this haven’t been the norm for Sabonis, so fantasy managers can expect gaudier stat lines in the future. He’s providing 1st-round value in 8-cat formats while sitting just outside that threshold in 9-cat.
  • SAC Small Forward #13
Keegan Murray finished Wednesday’s win over the Suns with 17 points (7-of-11 FGs), four rebounds, one assist, one block, and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes.
Murray entered Wednesday in a slump, having shot 9-of-28 from the field and scored 26 points in the previous three games. The turnaround began in the decisive win over the Suns, with Murray shooting over 60% from the field and knocking down three 3-pointers. For the season, he’s providing 8th-round per-game value in 9-cat formats, one rebound worse than his Yahoo ADP in standard leagues.
  • SAC Shooting Guard #9
Kevin Huerter tallied 22 points (9-of-16 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Suns.
Two nights removed from scoring two points on 1-of-7 shooting, Huerter had his best offensive game of the season. Not only were the 22 points a season-high, but this was also Red Velvet’s first game with at least 20. If DeMar DeRozan (back) has to miss time after not returning to the second half of Wednesday’s game, Huerter (21% rostered) will be worth a look in standard leagues.
