Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 29 points (11-of-17 FGs), 12 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in a 121-119 loss to the Wizards on Monday.
Johnson really struggled to shoot the ball in Atlanta’s first three games, but he was able to right the ship in this one. He set a new career-high for scoring and new season-highs for rebounds and assists. This is the player that managers were drafting in the third round, so hopefully this will be a game that he can build on, even if they weren’t able to secure a win. The Hawks will play the Wizards once again on Wednesday, which will give Johnson a great chance to keep the momentum going and dominate them again.
  • HOU Center #12

Steven Adams (right knee injury recovery) will play against New York on Monday.
Ime Udoka said that Adams will still be limited to five minute stints, which allowed him to play 14 and 10 minutes in his two other appearances this season. He’ll be back in the lineup after missing their last game, but he won’t have much of a fantasy impact, aside from limiting Jabari Smith Jr.'s minutes at center.
  • LAL Shooting Guard #15
Lakers will start D’Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis against the Pistons on Monday.
Reaves, Russell and Davis were all dealing with various injuries, but all three are available and starting Monday as the Lakers go with their usual starting lineup in Detroit against the Pistons.
  • MEM Shooting Guard #46
John Konchar (right quad contusion) has been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Nets.
This will be a third straight absence for Konchar, and when you combine that with the other injuries, Memphis will have to rely on Scotty Pippen Jr., Jaylen Wells and Jake LaRavia to continue to play big minutes. Wells should get another start after scoring 15 points in 36 minutes on Saturday.
  • CHI Power Forward #44
Patrick Williams (right shoulder strain) is available for Monday’s game against the Jazz.
Williams is available after the Bulls listed him as probable on the initial injury report. With Zach LaVine unavailable, Williams should have a few more opportunities to seek his offense. There’s no guarantee the production increases, but Williams has a slightly higher ceiling.
  • UTA Power Forward #23
Lauri Markkanen (back) has been ruled out for Monday night’s game against the Bulls.
This is the third game in a row Markkanen will miss. Kyle Filipowski could start again for Utah with Markkanen out, but based on his recent numbers isn’t a preferred streaming option on a 15-game slate.
  • CHI Power Forward #7
Jalen Smith (left knee effusion) is available for Monday’s game against Utah.
Initially probable for Monday’s game, Smith has been given the all-clear. However, he offers limited fantasy value as Nikola Vucevic’s backup. In most leagues, leaving Smith on the waiver wire will be fine.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #3
Josh Giddey (non-COVID illness) is available for Monday night’s game against the Jazz.
Giddey has thrived in his first week with the Bulls after coming over from the Thunder in an offseason trade. To the delight of his new team and fantasy managers, he’s available for a good matchup against the Jazz at home.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #0
The Warriors will start Stephen Curry, Gary Payton II, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green and Trayce Jackson-Davis against the Wizards on Monday.
Golden State will be tweaking their starting unit for this game as they match up with the Wizards. GP2 will get his first start of the year, where he should be able to get some steals. With Steph returning as well, Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski will be pushed to reserve roles.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #8
Zach LaVine (right adductor strain) is out for Monday’s game against the Jazz.
LaVine will miss a game for the first time this season, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Ayo Dosunmu is one possibility to fill the void, and he played well as a spot starter last season. He’s worth a roll of the dice in deep leagues.
  • LAL Power Forward #3
Anthony Davis (right hip soreness) and D’Angelo Russell (right foot contusion) will play against the Pistons on Monday.
Both guys were initially listed as probable for this game, so their official availability doesn’t come as a surprise. They should both continue to play their typical roles, where Davis has been able to be one of the best players in fantasy basketball early on.
