Jalen Brunson (right knee) accounted for 21 points (8-of-24 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, and seven assists in 38 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Cavaliers.
Brunson shot 1-of-6 from the field in the first quarter, and the slow start set the tone for the entire night. In addition to the poor shooting, he banged knees with Sam Merrill during the third quarter and exited briefly. The good news is that Brunson returned when he usually does, and this doesn’t appear to be an injury that will land him on the injury report ahead of Wednesday’s game in Miami.
  • POR Center #35

Robert Williams (left hamstring strain) did not play in Monday’s win over New Orleans.
Williams was cleared to make his season debut on Monday, but the Time Lord did not see any action. Starter Deandre Ayton played 32 minutes, with lottery pick Donovan Clingan (four points, three rebounds, and three blocks) getting the other 16. Unless Williams were to be traded, it’s doubtful he gets the minutes needed to impact fantasy basketball.
  • NOP Point Guard #15
Jose Alvarado shot 4-of-14 from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line in Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers, accumulating 18 points, one rebound, six assists, and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes.
  • NOP Small Forward #14
Brandon Ingram finished Monday’s loss to Portland with 27 points (11-of-24 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes.
  • Jeremiah Robinson-Earl accounted for 12 points (5-of-7 FGs), five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes in Monday’s loss to Portland.
  • CHA Point Guard #1
LaMelo Ball had 19 points (6-of-15 FGs), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers against the Timberwolves on Monday.
Ball struggled against one of the best defensive teams in the league. He had 19 points on 15 shots and was a -3 in 25 minutes. He turned the ball over five times and had only two assists. Ball is still one of the top players in all of fantasy and will look to get back on track against the Pistons on Wednesday.
  • NOP Shooting Guard #11
Brandon Boston Jr. finished Monday’s loss to Portland with 20 points (9-of-15 FGs), three rebounds, four assists, two steals, one block, and two 3-pointers in 36 minutes.
  • CHI Point Guard #0
Coby White led Chicago with 28 points (10-of-19 FGs), four rebounds, six assists, two steals and six 3-pointers in a 135-126 loss to the Jazz on Monday.
White shrugged off a slow start in this game and scored 23 of his 28 points after the break to try and help the Bulls secure the win. It didn’t end up being enough, but he still had a big game. White’s assists are slightly down this year, which makes sense with the addition of Josh Giddey and return of Zach Lavine. However, he has been a top-50 player in 9-cat leagues due to career-highs in points, 3-pointers and steals. Despite the roster changes this summer, White has still a beast in fantasy hoops.
  • POR Shooting Guard #1
Anfernee Simons amassed 24 points (10-of-17 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), one rebound, four assists, one steal, and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes in Monday’s win over New Orleans.
  • POR Center #2
Deandre Ayton played 32 minutes in Monday’s win over New Orleans, accumulating 19 points (9-of-14 FGs, 0-of-2 FTs), 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one 3-pointer.
  • POR Point Guard #5
Dalano Banton shot 8-of-9 from the field and 2-of-2 from the foul line in Monday’s win over New Orleans, scoring 20 points with two rebounds, one assist, two steals, and two 3-pointers in 12 minutes.
