  • UTA Power Forward #23

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Lauri Markkanen is expected to sign a “massive long-term contract extension” with Utah.
Markkanen will sign the deal after Tuesday, meaning he can’t be traded during 2024-25 campaign. This update walks back a Monday report that Markkanen would not sign long-term deal with the Jazz and either get traded during the upcoming season or hit unrestricted free agency with a big payday. The terms of the deal aren’t yet known, but Markkanen will be Utah’s foundational cornerstone for the foreseeable future. Fantasy managers can expect top-25 per-game production for years to come.

James Harden, Kris Dunn, Kobe Sanders, John Collins and Ivica Zubac will start Monday’s game against the Wizards.
After being used in a reserve role for Friday’s win over the Raptors, Collins is back in the Clippers’ starting lineup. Nicolas Batum heads back to the bench, which lowers an already-low fantasy ceiling. Batum should not be rosteredin redraft leagues.
What would Morant mean for Bucks, Giannis?
NBA Showtime discusses the state of the Milwaukee Bucks and what a potential move for Ja Morant would mean for Giannis Antetokounmpo's future.
  • LAL Forward-Guard #77
Luka Dončić, Nikola Jokić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Stephen Curry and Victor Wembanyama will be the Western Conference starters for next month’s All-Star Game.
Next month’s All-Star Game will consist of three teams, two representing the United States and one representing the rest of the world. Dončić, who was the leading vote-getter in the Western Conference, Jokić, Gilgeous-Alexander and Wembanyama will be starters for the international team, with Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo joining them. Curry will be a starter for one of the two United States teams, with Jalen Brunson, Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown receiving the nod from the East.
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Brunson, Cade Cunningham, Tyrese Maxey and Jaylen Brown were named Eastern Conference starters for next month’s All-Star Game.
With the change to the All-Star Game format, starters are announced by conference, with no regard to position. Giannis led the way among Eastern Conference vote-getters, and he’ll be a starter for the World squad in next month’s All-Star Game in Inglewood, California. Brunson, Cunningham, Maxey and Brown will represent one of the two United States teams.
  • OKC Power Forward #10
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luguentz Dort, Aaron Wiggins, Jaylin Williams and Chet Holmgren will start Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.
The Thunder will be without Jalen Williams (hamstring) for at least two weeks, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Due to the matchup, JayWill moves into the starting lineup alongside Holmgren. Ajay Mitchell should still play plenty, but his fantasy ceiling is slightly lower since he won’t be starting on Monday.
  • CLE Forward-Center #32
Donovan Mitchell, Jaylon Tyson, Dean Wade, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen will start Monday’s game against the Thunder.
Not only is Wade back on the court after a five-game absence, but he’ll be in the starting lineup. As a result, Craig Porter Jr. will head to the bench, leaving Mitchell to handle the point guard duties with Darius Garland (toe) unavailable.
  • CLE Forward-Center #32
Dean Wade (knee) is available for Monday’s game against the Thunder.
Wade is back after missing five games with a left knee contusion. His return will likely mean fewer minutes for Nae’Qwan Tomlin, but Wade has not been productive enough to affect fantasy basketball this season.
  • BKN Center #20
Day’Ron Sharpe (illness, throat) is out for Monday’s game against the Suns.
Sharpe will miss Monday’s game due to two injuries: illness and a throat contusion. Danny Wolf and Jalen Wilson are two players who can absorb some of the minutes that would have gone to Sharpe, and the Nets can also stagger the minutes of starters Nic Claxton and Noah Clowney.
  • BKN Forward #1
Ziaire Williams (conditioning) is off the injury report for Monday’s game against the Suns.
Due to an illness (four games) and conditioning (two), Williams has missed the Nets’ last six games. His return on Monday gives the Nets added perimeter depth, which is vital since Egor Dëmin and Cam Thomas are out. Given the time missed, Williams will likely be under a minutes restriction in his first game back.
  • BKN Guard-Forward #4
Drake Powell (knee) is off the injury report for Monday’s game against the Suns.
Powell is back after sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Bulls due to left knee injury management. With Egor Dëmin unavailable, Powell may move into the starting lineup. While that would raise his short-term ceiling, the 6-foot-6 wing is not a must-stream player in redraft leagues.
  • BKN Forward #17
Michael Porter Jr. (rest) is available for Monday’s game against the Suns.
Porter is good to go after sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Nets. His return to action means that Danny Wolf will likely head to the bench. The rookie’s fantasy ceiling does take a hit, but playing time should not be a concern for Wolf.
