Rob Dillingham shot 11-of-18 from the field and 0-of-1 from the foul line in Sunday’s 115-100 win over Orlando, scoring 25 points with three rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
Dillingham, whose rights Minnesota acquired from San Antonio on draft night, looked like a steal for most of summer league. While he did commit five turnovers in Sunday’s finale, the positives far outweighed the negatives. Dillingham displayed a proper balance of getting his shot and setting up his teammates, a big reason why Minnesota ended its summer on a high note. Serving as Mike Conley’s backup would limit Dillingham’s fantasy upside in the short term, but the Timberwolves may have a future star on their hands.
  • TOR Small Forward #9

RJ Barrett (illness) was able to practice on Saturday.
Barrett missed Thursday’s matchup with Brooklyn, but he appears on track to play on Sunday against Houston. Rookie Ja’Kobe Walter started in his place, but he will return to a role off the bench if Barrett is able to suit up.
  • MIA Power Forward #42
Kevin Love (personal reasons) has been ruled out for Saturday’s matchup with Orlando.
Love will miss the second night of this back-to-back, but he doesn’t play a significant role in the rotation. Nikola Jovic may take on a few extra minutes, but there won’t be any dramatic fantasy impacts here.
  • MIA Shooting Guard #0
Josh Richardson (right heel soreness) has been ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Magic.
Even when he has been available to play, Richardson hasn’t been part of the team’s rotation. He hasn’t seen the floor in over a month, so his absence in this game won’t impact fantasy basketball.
  • MIA Small Forward #22
Jimmy Butler (stomach illness) is doubtful to play against the Magic on Saturday.
Butler played just seven minutes in Friday’s game before exiting due to this illness, though he did also twist his ankle in that game. The illness is what is expected to keep him sidelined, which will mean more minutes for Jaime Jaquez Jr., Dru Smith and Terry Rozier.
  • TOR Shooting Guard #5
Immanuel Quickley (left UCL tear) participated in the non-contact parts of practice on Saturday and is getting closer to returning.
IQ has played a total of three games this season, and while this doesn’t mean that a return is imminent, he is definitely making progress. Hopefully he won’t be sidelined much longer, but he’ll have to go through some contact practices before that happens.
  • MIN Power Forward #55
Luka Garza (left ankle sprain) is questionable to play against Golden State on Saturday.
Garza is a late addition to the injury report, but he doesn’t play a large enough role in the rotation for this to impact fantasy basketball.
  • NOP Center #10
Daniel Theis (personal reasons) has been cleared to play against New York on Saturday.
Theis was initially listed as questionable after not being with the team in their previous game, but he’ll be available for this one. He’ll fill out the backup center minutes behind Yves Missi, but Theis won’t be worth rostering.
  • ORL Point Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (right ankle sprain) has been downgraded to questionable for Saturday’s matchup with Miami.
Suggs was initially listed as probable to play after injuring his ankle on Thursday, but now there is a chance that he sits out. If he ends up missing this game, Anthony Black and Cole Anthony will likely take on the point guard minutes. Black had 23 points in 31 minutes off the bench in their last game and would be worth streaming.
  • PHX Shooting Guard #1
Devin Booker (left groin soreness) has been ruled out for the next two games and will be re-evaluated early next week.
Booker had already been ruled out for Saturday’s game, which means that he will also sit out Monday’s game in Denver. A re-evaluation will give a better timeline for when he could return, though the next chance that he will have to play will be on Wednesday, with the Nuggets coming to town. Royce O-Neale and Grayson Allen should both see extra minutes in his place.
  • MEM Point Guard #12
Ja Morant (low back soreness) has been downgraded to out for Saturday’s game against the Hawks.
Morant was listed as doubtful on the initial injury report, but he has now officially been ruled out. Scotty Pippen Jr. should get the starting nod at point guard in his place, where he has been effective this season.
