Jaime Jaquez Jr. finished Monday’s 102-73 win over Oklahoma City with 23 points (8-of-13 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
In the aftermath of his stellar performance on Monday and the Heat having played two games in Las Vegas, we’ve likely seen the last of Jaquez this week. The plan was for him to play two games before the team decided on Jaquez’s availability for the rest of the week. His summer began with a few practices for the United States select team, which helped the senior national team in its stateside prep for the upcoming Paris Olympics. While Jaquez was effective as a rookie, his role should expand next season after Caleb Martin’s exit. Add Jimmy Butler’s past availability issues, and Jaquez will be worth drafting in standard leagues.

Isaiah Hartenstein finished Monday’s loss to the Nuggets with 20 points (8-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes.
  • SAS Small Forward #40
Harrison Barnes led the Spurs with 29 points (12-of-14 FGs), eight rebounds, one steal, one block and four three-pointers in a 133-129 loss to the Mavericks on Monday.
Despite being a consistent starter, Barnes has been a non-factor in fantasy basketball this season. He’s an efficient player that can hit some three-pointers, but he doesn’t help in any individual category. However, he was unconscious as a scorer in Monday’s loss. His two missed field goal attempts were both three-pointers, meaning he made all eight of his two-point attempts. He didn’t enjoy that same success at the free throw line as he made just one of his three shots. This was an excellent performance from him, but there is a reason that he is rostered in just 13 percent of Yahoo! leagues despite playing 27.4 minutes minutes per game.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander accounted for 25 points (8-of-14 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, seven assists, one steal, two blocks and three three-pointers in 36 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Nuggets.
