Brandin Podziemski played 26 minutes in Saturday’s 90-73 win over Phoenix, tallying 16 points (4-of-10 FGs, 5-of-5 FTs), seven rebounds, six assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers.
Podziemski’s had a busy summer. He played with the United States select team, which helped Team USA prepare for the upcoming Paris Olympics, before joining the Warriors for summer league action. He didn’t shoot the ball well from two on Saturday, going 1-of-4, but the 3-point production, rebounds, and assists were there. With Klay Thompson agreeing to a deal with the Mavericks, Podziemski is well-positioned to fill the resulting void in the starting lineup. If so, that would boost his fantasy value considerably.
